Right Now: April Weekending. 0160;Doing my income taxes. In doing so, I have been incredibly productive in other areas! Kate and Jun checking out the creek in Kates new back yard! Saturdays tactics included helping Katie move, doing Alis payroll, and sewing a dress for Gin. Gin: In Threes - helping Kate move in! And I made dinner and we Skyped with Maddy. And I sorted through a stack of tax-related papers. Its been a pretty amazing weekend! Perhaps we should need to file our tax returns every month!

Purlingswine @ the pug shack. Knock a little louder, sugar. Food and drink,. Which means it must be time for my yearly blog post. I need to justify owning a domain name and paying wordpress for the ‘no ads’ option don’t I? In addition to the general joys and sorrows of living, there have been two exciting developments around these parts. D#1 is getting hitched! Can I put this off until after the holidays and all the desserts? I’m serious, can I? I am excited to see what happens next. My idea is to be...

The Knitorialist
Musings on writing, photography, creative passions on my zigzag journey. Monday, July 17, 2017. Summer by the Sea. On Saturday we had a special visit along with some friends and family in my son's new digs with its great views of Long Island Sound. We enjoyed lobster rolls, hot dogs, quiche, cookies, fruit, wine, and just kicked back to talk and enjoy all of it on a gorgeous summer afternoon. In quiet moments we heard the lapping of water against the stone wall just below his balcony. Links to this post.

Friday, March 19, 2010. Six Hour Thick Cotton Socks. I test drove them today, all day, including a goodly walk and they are still comfy on the feet. Six hours, not bad for a quickie gift. You can buy these ginormous balls of thick cotton here in Canada in many variegated and solid colours, I'm not sure about other countries. One big ball would do about 3 pairs of socks (for about $2.00 pair) and you can also use odds and ends of the knitted dishrag stash pile, like I do. Large ball Bernat Thick Cotton.
