Just one more mile: June 2011
http://runninggen.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Friday, June 3, 2011. A reprieve from the heat. Yes, it was hotter and I was pushing the jogger (thankfully only the single this time), but there was a nice breeze and I think the humidity had fallen a little. Charlie sang in the jogger for most of the time and only got antsy at the very end, and it wasn't a bad run at all! Comments that I get from people when I run past. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Just one more mile: May 2013
http://runninggen.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Inexplicably, I've been getting faster. By the time we hit the South Side proper, I knew we were in good shape. "Let's just do the full! Always quality bling at the Pittsburgh Marathon. Sunday, May 19, 2013. The past 18 months - a roundup. Long stretch on the reformer - I could do this all day. Ok, I lied, it was kind of fun. And the medal was great, as usual. Both feet off the ground and a smile on my face.

Just one more mile: Running hills at the Stanford Dish

Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Running hills at the Stanford Dish. And "I don't really think this is very fast, mommy! You can't really see it in the photo, but you can see the San Francisco bay off in the distance. And if your eyes are keen, Stanford University. We saw some deer! It was just like wild kingdom. I didn't get a picture of the fluffy fat ground squirrels, but my god they were adorable. And "Why aren't you DRIVING! How does she do it?

Just one more mile: The music I run with
http://runninggen.blogspot.com/2014/01/the-music-i-run-with.html
Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Thursday, January 30, 2014. The music I run with. I gave up running with headphones when we were in Sweden maybe 4 years ago and I was running on scary small roads and trails where it really was important that I be able to hear what was going on around me. After three weeks of that, I kind of got used to things and I haven't really missed it all that much. So what goes on in my head, then, since I don't have music when I run outside?

Just one more mile: July 2011

Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Sunday, July 24, 2011. Stampede in the Park 5k and a lesson learned. So we did this one last year and it has the dubious honor of being my slowest 5k ever. This year, I finished in 29:03, good enough for a 7th in my age group, but third finished in 28:11, which I should have been able to beat easily. So now I'm kicking myself for not pushing through and going for a faster time. Oh well, live and learn, right? At least I look cute, right? Runne...

Just one more mile: October 2011
http://runninggen.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. A pre-race thumbs up. Note the "why the hell am I doing this? Look on my face. Checking the Garmin and freezing my butt off. They had a pre-race photographer, which was cool. Smelled like cinnamon. Mmmmm. It was neat to see all these very nice neighborhoods so close to downtown, since the geography makes that largely impossible in Pittsburgh (and a history of bad civic planning, but we won't go into that). Short so...

Just one more mile: September 2011
http://runninggen.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Great Race number 4! Oh the Great Race. Seriously, she's awesome (there's a whole slew of "woe is I" posts about how much I struggled to get some speed back after Charlie was born, so I'm way impressed). The good news is that according to the McMillan Pace Calculator. So instead, bad bedroom self portrait. Charlie wanted to be in the picture, too! Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Recap of running in Sweden. I'll stop...

Just one more mile. The adventures of an adult onset athlete. Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Post Columbus injury whining. The run went well, but towards the end, I was definitely aware of the Achilles. It was nowhere near pain, but I was aware of it. Does that make sense? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
