Knittin' mittens for ma kittens!

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Thursday, June 26, 2008. Ladies, gentlemen, let's get to the truth of the matter. I am no blogger. Indeed, I forget I have this page from time to time, unless I receive a comment or someone mentions it to me. I suppose I just need to come to terms with the fact that the written word, at least on the internet, doesn't come to me as easily as others. You can drop this poor neglected page from your (no doubt long) list of blogs to read. It's okay! Spin a new yarn tonight.

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens!: February 2007

http://knitternatter.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Friday, February 16, 2007. That's how I feel anyway, after this week! Craziness at work, strange things happening here and there.look at what happened when I opened up google maps yesterday. (Click for big). Do you see the cat? I spun the merino-tencel from funwithyarn.com ( here it is before I spun it. And ended up with two small skeins- I was too lazy to figure out the weight or the yardage! Posted by Kerry at 9:02 AM. Wednesday, February 14, 2007. It's not Friday, but.

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens!: April 2007

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Friday, April 06, 2007. I may have come in last in our office bowling tournament yesterday, but I'd like to know how many of my colleagues who broke 100 (or even 50) came home and did THIS:. I am so proud of this skein- it is my very first novelty/art yarn, and it came out exactly like I hoped it would. I'm calling it Pistachio. It's hand-dyed Shetland wool from the Peachtree Spinning Guild dye day ( photo of the dyed roving. Posted by Kerry at 8:51 AM. Washed, dried, phot.

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Monday, January 14, 2008. Guess what I did this weekend? Washed, dried, photographed, uploaded, posted! Huge pictures with more detail can be seen by clicking the photos and going to flickr.). This is my new precious. It's a novelty yarn I spun from a batt created by the incredible loop.etsy.com. Quiet Riot, a blend of oatmeal-colored bluefaced leicester, cotswold locks, silk noil, and firestar nylon. Blend of merino, wool, mohair and sparkle. Posted by Kerry at 10:36 AM.

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens!: February 2006

http://knitternatter.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Tuesday, February 28, 2006. All the difference in the world. My tension overall is vastly improved, my stitches look so much more even and- dare I say it- lovely. FAR, FAR better fit. They are certainly tighter on the calf, but not so much as to stretch the motif or be uncomfortable. The slouchy look of the stocking is gone, and I think they look a lot better with less ease, as they now help to slenderize my beefy calves. I am the maestro here. Posted by Kerry at 8:42 AM.

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens!: Shop update

http://knitternatter.blogspot.com/2008/02/shop-update.html

Knittin' mittens for ma kittens! Monday, February 25, 2008. I've updated my etsy shop. With some new yarns! And another update will be coming later this week. I'm in love with my new drum carder! My spinning output is going through the roof. And I need to order more wool- I dyed the last of my merino over the weekend. Gotta stay occupied! Posted by Kerry at 9:41 AM. I knit, spin, dye, blend, and spend the rest of the time vacuuming up wool bits and cat hair. It's a lovely life! View my complete profile.

Treats for Breathing: September 2008

http://treatsforbreathing.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Hounds • Yarn • Goofy Stuff • Words • Broken Bones. Monday, September 01, 2008. I never have a camera when I need one. There I was, leaving my office's parking structure in downtown Atlanta on Friday, and a group of Storm Troopers walk past. A little further down the block was a family consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Ron, the twins and Harry Potter himself. As I continued my commute down Peachtree Street, I saw what looked like a wood nymph holding hands with yet another Storm Trooper.

Hounds • Yarn • Goofy Stuff • Words • Broken Bones. Monday, March 24, 2008. Hip, Hip, Hooray! To all who came to The HIP Party to help me celebrate my new parts: THANKS SO MUCH: I HAD A GREAT NIGHT! Like the bottle of wine from a certain smartie-pants. I always appreciate booze! Not to be mushy, but the best gift of all was seeing all those folks on Saturday, helping me celebrate the big day. You guys are fabulous. Thanks! Megan: Dyer, Spinner and Weaver. Wednesday, March 19, 2008. Monday, March 17, 2008.

Hounds • Yarn • Goofy Stuff • Words • Broken Bones. Monday, April 28, 2008. Cramming a Lot of Life into a Few Weeks. The bathroom project is still not complete. But, it's the least of my worries these days. In a few days I leave for my company's big event in San Diego, and I'm working on all the things I need to complete before I leave. I have scripts to write and assignments to assign. At least I closed the latest issue of the magazine last week. Megan: Dyer, Spinner and Weaver. Friday, April 11, 2008.

I have very little to do with this particular event, so I always stay here in Atlanta. Working in the office during this week is a lot like working between Christmas and New Years: Only a few people are here. Is it as imperceptible as I hope it is? Megan: Dyer, Spinner and Weaver. Treats for Breathing: Drenched

http://treatsforbreathing.blogspot.com/2008/08/drenched.html

Hounds • Yarn • Goofy Stuff • Words • Broken Bones. Thursday, August 28, 2008. Be careful what you wish for. The Atlanta metropolitan area has been in a drought these last several years and the lakes and waterways surrounding the area have been diminishing and diminishing. As a result, we have instituted strict watering policies, residents have changed their car-washing habits, and shortened our showers, all in hopes of alleviating the water issues here. Trouble is, not everyone wants so much water.

St Andrews has more to offer than a beautiful golf course. It features a magnificient coast line, the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral, and lots of interesting history. Megan: Dyer, Spinner and Weaver. http://treatsforbreathing.blogspot.com/2008/12/this-small-small-world.html

Hounds • Yarn • Goofy Stuff • Words • Broken Bones. Monday, December 08, 2008. This Small, Small World. Well, yesterday I drove out to Lawrenceville and met this nice lady for her spinning lesson. (Did I mention her daughter and I have the same first and middle name? Len joked that I would not be coming home, that my fiber stalker would kidnap me. He's right, of course. Who goes to a stranger's home based only on e-mail conversations? Just helping to keep the crafting economy going! Way to keep it going!

Where There's a Will There's a Way

Where There's a Will There's a Way. Saturday, May 9, 2015. Authors note: Every day we work with someone whether it's a school project, making breakfast, or even walking the dogs. This video reminded me of what happens daily in the world when everyone works together. Is it just because we want to be right on how we came to be? What if the world was made last Thursday how would you know? You don't. But just like my Dad says sometimes 'You have to push the I believe button.' You know what? In the Intestine ...

To upgrade The Knitter Nerd with the hopes that I might get a donation here and there and eventually hit the $200 by September, which would be a lovely thing just days before my birthday. I could upgrade my blog, buy a decent USB microphone for a podcast, and celebrate heartily. I’m still in shock. Get a thank-you on the blog ($1). As it st...
