Knitting Between the Lines: April 2008
http://knittingbetween.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Knitting Between the Lines. A grad student tries to find the time to knit. and spin. and tell the world about it too! Monday, April 28, 2008. Yesterday I actually bound off the mohair sweater! I tried it on, too, and was very happy with the fit. Now all I need to do is add the neckband, sew up the armhole seams, weave in a few ends, block it, and it'll be done! I also acquired some new yarn to work with that I'm excited by for two different reasons. Thursday, April 24, 2008. Ravelry-only link], anyone?

Knitting Between the Lines. A grad student tries to find the time to knit. and spin. and tell the world about it too! Thursday, January 29, 2009. An FO in fabric. Coffeeboy asked it it had to be so flowery, and I said, no, "not necessarily." (It's still flowery. Maybe not as flowery as he hoped to avoid, though! I cut the fabric into big blocks (less sewing that way), and laid them out on the bed to see what looked nice. Not bad, not bad! But now I had to sew. And sew, and sew. Coffeeboy seems to like...

Knitting Between the Lines. A grad student tries to find the time to knit. and spin. and tell the world about it too! Thursday, February 14, 2008. May yours be as warm as, well, a handknit sock resting uneasily close to the jaws of a kitty:. Coffeeboy thought that Juniper would make an ideal background for the sock. Juniper thought the sock - and my handspun yarn nicely wound into a yarn cake - would make an ideal lunchtime plaything. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm knitting PhD student with a husband ("...

Knitting Between the Lines. A grad student tries to find the time to knit. and spin. and tell the world about it too! Friday, November 30, 2007. I have some finished yarn photos for you! It's as if it were "Fiber Friday" or something! Because that's all that's happening around here, I swear. Socks? That said, how about some fiber? Look, a dime shot! I also spun up all of the not-quite-4-oz. of the "autumn lake" roving. It went really, really quickly, quite possibly because I love the colors. ...Looking a...

Knitting Between the Lines. A grad student tries to find the time to knit. and spin. and tell the world about it too! Saturday, December 27, 2008. Hats off to the holidays. My previous felted hat turned out well enough that I decided to do some quick knitting, and I finished up two more felted hats, one for my mother-in-law (blue and black), and one for my mom (in her favorite shade of green, to match a scarf I knit a couple of years ago). . Speaking of being confused about the time, Coffeeboy and I head...

Knitting Beyond the Wall
Knitting Beyond the Wall. It has been a while. My background template stopped functioning and I was too busy with my day job to straighten it out. But Summer vacation is here! I finished my first dress pattern which is available as a .pdf on Ravelry. It is called the Modern Day Goddess and I think it is smashing as both a modern fashion staple and as a piece of goddess iconography connecting Barbie back to the earliest images of the divine feminine. CO 30 - 10 stitches on each needle. Using contrast colo...
