misswoollyknits

Friday, March 23, 2018. Hello dear reader,. We are so ready for this spring! I've been crocheting some Easter cozies. The blue cozy is half double crochet stitches, round and round with no joins and finished off with a yellow trim;. These are the boxes I store my cozies in (that's our vintage typewriter in the background). The bush with white blossoms is blooming beautifully. And the first hydrangea buds arrived this week. Friday, April 20, 2007. I've been knitting socks. Tube Socks Knit In the Round. They fit my size 9 narrow feet and can accommodate quite a few sizes because there is no shaped heel or gusset. For larger sizes, add more stitches or change the needle size. Yarn: 1 skein Regia 4 ply Canadian Color – Manitoba #4737 (100g, 420 m)(or any 4 ply fingering weight sock yarn). Gauge: 7 sts. = 1 inch (in pattern, slightly stretched). CO 56 sts. (or any number necessary for your desired size) and join in the round.

I had 3 small leftover skeins of white cotton in my stash, adding up to approx. 137 metres (150 yards). I cast 20 sts. onto my 5mms (US8) and followed the pattern – sort of – until I ran out of yarn. misswoollyknits: Lacy Scarf...

http://knittingbunny.blogspot.com/2006/02/spring_10.html

Friday, February 10, 2006. I knit a lacy scarf last year but haven't shared it here. This is an easy peasy pattern that works up quickly no matter what yarn or needle size you use. I've knit several in worsted weight and 6mms (US10) and a few in bulky weight with 8mms (US11). K3, *yo, k2tog*, repeat to last 2 sts, K2. Cast off when done. That’s it. You have a scarf. Didn't I say it was easy? A lacy scarf with minimal effort - that's my kind of knitting. Bare Naked Heads…. Posted by Mary Anne. 4 x 4 Cowl.

http://knittingbunny.blogspot.com/2015/07/up-and-down.html

Friday, July 31, 2015. Sun and rain.hot and cold. The sun has given our hydrangeas a boost in colour. The lanterns are bursting with orange much earlier in the season. Our fuschias love the rain. And bunny loves the grass. I've crocheted another Silky Mesh Scarf. In cotton worsted to take the chill off the cooler evenings. I'm ready for a long summer nap, dear reader, so I'll wish you a lovely last day of July and hope your August is just as splendiferous. Posted by Mary Anne. View my complete profile.

ASE Keepin' Creative: French Stripe Dishcloth

http://aseknc.blogspot.com/2015/03/french-stripe-dishcloth.html

Tuesday, March 10, 2015. Last Wednesday we got MORE ice and snow but, thankfully, not as much as the previous two ice storms. It was enough to keep UPS and the mail from running out here, but no more damage to our home, or the area, and the power never went out.YaY! And now we are finally getting a relief from the winter weather! I finished another dishcloth and was finally able to get it soaked in vinegar water to set the red and got a pic of it to share. Found on Ravelry here. Right now I am working on...

Friday, July 4, 2014. Knitting for Babies (with free pattern links). I just love knitting for babies! Baby projects are great take-alongs, offer quick gratification for my short attention span and the finished products are so darn cute! Not to mention they give me another way to give back to my community and the young men, women and children that I serve at the pregnancy center. Here are my most recent finished projects, along with my notes about the patterns used. Or you can access it directly here.

So I went to the website and picked myself some lovely yarn. How gorgeous are ferns! So now I am after a good pattern to use that yarn for. And second, I get to pick my own cut flow...
