Knitting By The Ocean

Sunday, November 12, 2017. Susie's Reading Mitts and Half Granny Square Shawl. Susie's Reading Mitts is a free pattern on Ravelry. It's a very easy and well-written pattern. The yarn is wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I wish there was more of a selection in color ways. I love, love, love this yarn. This shawl is a half-granny square. I'm a beginner crocheter and am please at how it came out. It's addictive and I've now completed four of them. Links to this post. Wednesday, September 20, 2017. I am a tot...

Knitting By The Ocean: March 2014

http://knittingbytheocean.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Saturday, March 29, 2014. Pattern: Alpha Chi Cowl. Yarn: Debbie Bliss Rialto. Needles: Size 3 Cicular. I purchased the Alpha Chi and Infusion Cowl patterns from Meridith on Ravelry. Reasonably priced at $5/each or both for $8, they are a delight to work with. These patterns are extremely well-written. Meridith has "tips" in her patterns and it is easy to follow even for beginning chart readers. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Yarn: Debbie Bliss Rialto superwash merino. She lives in Rhode Island and I live in Vermont, of course, so it is nice when we get together and work on this project. It's quality mother/daughter time together. Links to this post. What else is new? Also having problems leaving messages on other blogs where the hosting site is not well-known. Will keep trying to catch up to old blogging friends. Thor – My Ferret. These are pictures of my precious Thor. He is definately a Panda color, this is what he looked like at about 4 months, a reverse skunk with deep ruby red eyes. His color started at the base of his neck and went back from there. He’s in the tub there (he loved to play in the water and his feet look a little funny because they are wet.). This is what he looked like in the late fall when he blew his summer coat and his winter coat was coming in. Bull; Posted in. Laquo; Previous post.

I couldn’t resist and so I cast on a newborn hat. I will be doing more of these in various sizes as the children will be various sizes :). So it will be pretty and soft :).
