Knitting in Color

Friday, November 30, 2012. I am in the middle of my holiday knitting. I still have another pair of gift socks and a hat to finish but they should be fast so I actually just cast on some fingerless gloves for myself. Here are some of my recently finished projects. Here are the It's Tea Time Socks. By Stephanie van der Linden (from her Around the World in Knitted Socks. Book) I used Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Apricot and size 2.5 mm dpns. Sheepspyjamas: March 2007

http://sheepspyjamas.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

Knitting and Spinning and Stuff, oh my! Tuesday, March 27, 2007. At Last, Sunilda, of Bus Incident Fame. It took me a bit of a while, but I figured there wasn't a horrible rush as I expect Pojke-Dot won't be wearing it until it gets cold again anyway, and, as my dear ol' auntie used to say, "Haste makes shyte". (Okay, so she admittedly waxed unpoetical-like. Gotta wonder, too, where the sweet little Swedish battle-axe learned that particular phrasing.). From Elsebeth Lavold's Second Viking Knits. Nother ...

obsessed with knitting: clap, clap, clap

http://obsessedwithknitting.blogspot.com/2009/06/clap-clap-clap.html

Thursday, June 25, 2009. Clap, clap, clap. Why oh why did I knit another Clapotis? This is my third. Do I need three shawl/scarves that don't work perfectly as either. After much soul searching I find two major reason why I knit my third:. 1) I was seduced by the yarn. 2) I like a simple knit. The Clapotis, Log Cabin Blanket, and Pinwheel all share a special attribute. They are easy, simple, but very clever designs that produce striking and unusual objects. I would like to know about more like th...Butto...

Garn Boet - The Yarn Nest. Stickning och andra handarbeten från södra Finland. Knitting and other crafts from the south of Finland. Laquo; Merry Christmas! Summary of 2006 ». I wish you all and everybody a Happy New Year 2007, with lot of quality knitting time and fabulous yarns, but most of all, with health and happiness. Fresh on the blocking board, the Rosebud mittens. Posing in front of the Christmas tree. I started and finished a pair of Jaywalkers. Plans for the new year? See you in 2007! Happy New...

obsessed with knitting: a little progress

http://obsessedwithknitting.blogspot.com/2009/05/little-progress.html

Monday, May 11, 2009. I haven't been working much on the Learn to Knit Afghan. I guess other projects have been more compelling lately. But I did sew the first column together and loved the results. Here is a photo. Here is another view. The panel is too long to photograph as one strip, so it is folded over. Here is the last square I finished. Labels: learn to knit afghan. My first thought when that photo popped up on screen was: "What a cute scarf! May 12, 2009 at 10:12 AM. Blue Shoes and Happiness Scarf.

Monday, March 30, 2009. Dilly dilly and the lifestyle. How old do you have to be to remember the nursery song Lavender Blue? It goes "Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, lavender's green." So I named these socks Dilly after the color and to rhyme with the matching sweater I'm making that I call Jilly. More about Jilly later. I'm on the last sleeve. The pattern is Charlene Schurch's (aren't you tired of reading this illustrious name on my blog? What makes these socks a little interesting though is that this typ...

Will Read 4 Yarn. Kaksikielinen Blogi / Bilingual Blog. VALMIS: Talvenraikas Baktus /. FO: Winter Breezy Baktus. Tämmöinen huivi minun on pitänyt tehdä jo pitkän aikaa. Nopea ja helppo ohje. Kuvasta näkyy myös paljonko lankaa minulle jäi 150g kerästä! Päätin jättää pitsireikärivin keskimmäiseksi. Keskimmäisessä rivissäni on 29 pitsireikää. I have supposed to do this scarf for awhile now. Quick and easy pattern. You'll see from the photo how much yarn was left of my 150g ball! Terhi Montonen: Lacy Baktus.

Tuesday, October 1, 2013. 31 Days of One Wild and Precious Life. Those around me.their eyes.their love and their pain and reaches out to both.it lets in the everlasting lovingkindness (hesed) of God that will not let me go. Posted by reimagined...

Knitting in Circles Podcast. Monday, November 16, 2015. Thank You and Update. I hoped to have better news to update, but we want to share that we've decided to discontinue recording. We had plans to record a proper final episode, but as things stand, we can't say when that would happen. We'd also like to thank you for your understanding and patience since our last episode. The second half of this year hasn't been the smoothest and it has been very nice knowing there are those out there thinking of us.

Knitting Increases

Monday, September 07, 2009. Proof my mother loves me. Not that I needed any, but this sure was a nice surprise:. Mom and Dad brought it home from a recent trip back home. This stuff is the essence of summer vacation. Ah the memories. What a treat; thanks, Mom! Posted by Kirsten @ 5:41 PM. Monday, July 06, 2009. 1 ball, 2 strikes. So I mentioned the other day that I started a sweater. I'm working on Lift and Separate from the original Big Girl Knits. The wine bottle is a bit of a souvenir from Pam. You kn...

Knitting in Dundee

About my knitting, my friends at the knitting group in Dundee and my attempts to finish many projects. Monday, 25 February 2008. Knitting in purple (part 1). I have a theme going on here - purple. This is from the Erika Knight Classic book and is knitted in Kidsilk mohair. I just have to sew on the fastenings and sew on the ends - I must do it soon or it will sit for months. Finally, this is a picture that Paul took and framed for my Valentine's present - I absolutely love it. Tuesday, 5 February 2008.
