Knitting in Harmony: April 2009
http://knittinginharmony.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
A quilter's efforts to find harmony between the old craft, knitting, and the new. Friday, April 10, 2009. Help May Be at Hand! Here's the last thing I was knitting when I stopped in 1997:. Pretty, isn't it? Yes, they knew exactly what I was talking about, and they knew where to get it. But, just to be sure, I would email them the photos so they could tell for sure. Well, here it is - this is the back (almost done) and the photo above is a detail shot. It really is lovely, isn't it? I'd love to finish it.

Knitting in Harmony: I made something!
http://knittinginharmony.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-made-something.html
A quilter's efforts to find harmony between the old craft, knitting, and the new. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Hey, I finished something! A scarf, to be precise:. It's not long, but it's essentially garter stitch (with a wave knit in; no biggie), and we all know those st-r-e-t-ch, so I am happy with the length. I have a LOT to learn about photographing my finished projects, but I did try to make it look nice. And then there's the photo just to show what yarns I used:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Today is a day for getting everything done. I work full-time, I'm a single mother, and I have a long-distance boyfriend, so days to myself at home happen almost as often as solar eclipses. I'm happy to announce that the cosmos have agreed to give me a day off and I'm crossing things off my to do list. In grey and blue. Links to this post.

Busy knitting needles and upcoming craft fair! July 11, 2015. I realize the dog days of summer hardly evoke thoughts of warm woollies, but last night I found myself donning a sweater and a wool hat to take photos for a big shop. This is me, trying to look cute despite the dizzying heat.). The reason I’ve been so busy knitting new hats is that this September, I will be selling my wares in my first craft show! In Halifax on Saturday, September 26! Already has 6,400 RSVPs! The newt’s socks. June 2, 2015.

Knitting in Granny Land<$BlogMetaData$>
Saturday, April 14, 2012. Six years sure is a long time. Just see my second post on this blog about "loving to knit with cotton" - now? Not so much. Not at all, actually. I avoid knitting with it at pretty much any cost, although I still like it for crocheting and probably would for weaving (yes, a new interest has been awakened, but not yet consummated :) . To cut a long story short: You can know find me on Wordpress, where I'm going by Knitosphere. First new post is up and I'd love to see you there!

Mountain Goat Wool Happiness. Handspun Enchantment Lakes mountain goat wool. On Brooklyn Tweed Altair. They are kinda scary. I started collecting bits I found on plants and rocks, my husband and brother, joined in. We had to keep moving or I would have spent all day gathering wool. I ended up with two handfuls of goat wool. On the grueling hike out, I thought and thought about my little bit of goat wool…. Not enough to knit a project…a bit of trim…. A MOUNTAIN GOAT EMBROIDERED ON A KNIT HAT! Could spin t...
