Not enough, or maybe too much. Bulky Rolled Rim Newborn Hat. Confessions of an Amputee. Confessions of an Amputee. Sometimes I wonder if I qualify as an amputee. I see photos of people with no legs, or an arm gone. I look at my foot, although most of it is gone, it seems such a small loss, yet when I am in public I am reminded it is larger than I think. I now see the courage in amputees, not in just the recovery but overcoming the looks of pity that follow them through life. Everyone’s lives ar...You are...

The Knitting Mongoose
A small mammal that can apparantly knit. A lot. Thursday, 13 March 2014. Shetland Deathmarch or, with needles to hollow victory. I have three different colours of genuine Shetland Yarn and a lovely Hap Scarf pattern in mind. I have carefully assessed the lie of the land, and ascertained that 3mm needles will be best for the task ahead. Captain Oates has decided to accompany me, as an advanced lace knitter wanting a short rest before a ring shawl in the Canadian Arctic. I am now well used to the pattern, ...

Knitting Moonsilver
Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Just about Thanksgiving, and am engaged in the mad scramble to get ready. Going to the in-laws, where it is said no one is happy unless someone leaves crying. I used to be the one crying, but thank heavens for the gift of middle age and not caring. I've been working on a sweater for Mom. I'm using woolly-nice Cottage Craft. She's going to love it. Friday, September 3, 2010. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Tuesday, August 24, 2010. I'm happily knitting dishcloths now. Spent the...

Not enough, or maybe too much. Bulky Rolled Rim Newborn Hat. Confessions of an Amputee. On April 13, 2017. So I haven’t been posting regularly because I am up and running which has only made my life busier than ever. But who can resist starting a new project, especially with Noro yarn. I am making another sockhead hat. Using sock yarn this hat takes a little bit longer but the end result is worth it. On February 16, 2017. I think I will avoid this pattern in the future. Michigan, Go Blue! On July 17, 2016.
Knitting Mother
Translation: A Mother Who Knits. Monday, June 1, 2009. File under category: "Damn I'm smart". No I'm not being modest at all - DAMN I'm smart! Today I brined two chickens to be roasted in the oven. I needed a v-rack to roast them and I don't own one (nor do I want to buy or store one). When I googled "v-rack homemade" I got an idea for wadding up aluminum foil in the bottom of the roasting pan and placing the chickens on top of that. Didn't like it and didn't want to waste that much foil. I thought A LOT.
Knitting Mouse
The chaos of me and my knitting. Saturday, September 20, 2008. Thank whatever you like to thank for the fact that Summer has broken and it's becoming cooler. This has prompted a few things from me:. 1) More knitting. Barbara's BEAUTIFUL sweater is whipping along. I have almost half a sleeve done. Then it's just another sleeve and it's done. Pretty neat for not knitting on it all summer, eh? And no.it is not the Pewter Coat. We don't speak of that anymore.). After seeing the gal over at sock pr0n. Knittin...
The Mouse that Knits
The Mouse that Knits. Another boring blog about knitting and work. Friday, August 26, 2011. Sorry everyone, this is just for Pinterest.I promise to update the blog later. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Another long break, another career change. I still love my job (one student I got a shadow for has a summer internship! But I've been thinking about it; after getting a new heat pump ($5100) and a new roof ($7500), the pay cut I took to go back to school hurts. Links to this post. Friday, November 5, 2010. Knitting, crochet and other crafts. Me encantaron. :). Del blog de mi sorprendida, Paula. Los tejí en Katia laine nylon con este patrón.
Knitting mumma
Sunday, January 17, 2010. The sunhat gets wet. We just got back from a lovely holiday on the Gold Coast, we're exhausted but it was worth it! While travelling I managed to knit bub a little sunhat to go with her Tropical Lily. This is a gorgeous little pattern from Stitchymama. Tried it on earlier and as soon as I turned around to get another angle it went for a swim in the pool LOL. All good, now its "wet blocking" lol. Now doesn't the rascal look pretty pleased with herself :P Look mumma it floats.
