Knitting Nature Knit-Along: Vortex Street

http://knittingnature.blogspot.com/2008/03/vortex-street.html

A Knit Along for all projects in Knitting Nature. Monday, March 31, 2008. I found this moth-eaten cashmere sweater at Goodwill (a thrift store). It was too nice to trash so I decided to refashion it with a scarf collar a la Norah's Cabled Cardigan. From the Fall 2006 Issue of Vogue Knitting. Learn more about vortex streets. As seen from space. Posted by badmomgoodmom @ 9:01 PM. Please comment (include your email address) or email me at lilikoiknits@gmail.com to be added. Sarah / knot another hat.

Knitting Nature Knit-Along: May 2006

http://knittingnature.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html

A Knit Along for all projects in Knitting Nature. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. Another Roundabout Leaf Tank. My name is jillian, and I'm making the Roundabout Leaf Tank as my first project. It's a gift for my sis's birthday at the end of June. I'm using Berocco's Cotton Twist, and so far am enjoying the project and yarn immensely! I adore this book, and almost can't decide what I would do next. Seeing all of your beautiful works is inspiring! Tags: Roundabout Leaf Tank. Posted by jillian @ 8:55 PM. And now the...

Knitting Nature Knit-Along: Cowl How-to

http://knittingnature.blogspot.com/2007/10/cowl-how-to.html

A Knit Along for all projects in Knitting Nature. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. I thought I would post some pictures about how-to knit the Cowl. I started several times as I thought there was an error in the instructions, but it is correct. There are 3 YO (yellow arrows), and therefore 3 decreases. The fact that the rows are shifted by 2 stitches make the spiral appear. Knit until you arrive at the first YO from previous row. Knit this YO and next stitch. 1YO,1knit,1YO (see the pink arrows before and after?

Knitting Nature Knit-Along: Another Shell Tank

http://knittingnature.blogspot.com/2008/09/another-shell-tank.html

A Knit Along for all projects in Knitting Nature. Friday, September 19, 2008. I've finished my shell tank a few weeks ago but I've forgotten to post it here at the knitalong. This tank make heads turn, that's true! More on my knitting blog Knit and Relax (click). Happy (Nature) Knitting,. Posted by Susanne @ 1:54 AM. This comment has been removed by the author. The sweater is gorgeous. I meant to type in the first comment, can you share how you lengthened the pattern? That's it. Nothing strange!

A journal of my knitting projects, yarn stash and anything else I can think of . Tuesday, May 02, 2006. It's Been a While. Can you tell I suck at blogging? Started (and nearly finished) with Candy Apple Red. Aka Green) Gable ( http:/ www.zephyrstyle.com). In Cotton Fleece. Just need to finish the sleeves and block. Got nervous when folks at the knitalong said the sizing ran small, but the medium fits me perfectly. Done in black Patons Katrina. Posted by Dietchgirl @ 7:47 PM. Links to this post. Knitting ...

A journal of my knitting projects, yarn stash and anything else I can think of . Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Knitting Olympics: Day 3 and 4. I'm ahead of schedule - woo hoo! Finished the body of Sitcom Chic tonight:. I'm making the size medium, and opted to knit the body a little longer than the 13.5" called for in the pattern. It worked out well since this was also the end of the second ball of yarn. Posted by Dietchgirl @ 9:40 PM. Links to this post:. Knitting Olympics: Day 1 and 2. Texas - Red Book.

DietchGirl Knits: I Know, I Know...

http://dietchgirl.blogspot.com/2006/03/i-know-i-know.html

A journal of my knitting projects, yarn stash and anything else I can think of . Sunday, March 26, 2006. I Know, I Know. Still here, knitting whenever I get a chance. I finished the back of the FCEK cardigan, now I'm working on the sleeves. I'm saving the front pieces for last since I'll need to keep track of both cables and stitch patterns. Right now there's enough work and personal stuff going on that I need easy, relatively mindless knitting projects. I've also started working on my first lace shawl!

And so the days are filled...: What's next then

http://daysfull.blogspot.com/2007/12/whats-next-then.html

And so the days are filled. And so the days are filled. My mum tells me that among the first 'coherent' syllables I uttered as a babe in arms sounded something like "wet mouse". She liked to think I was asking "What next? It does seem to be a question I love more than many other of life's imponderables. What project her readers were enjoying most right now, and many of them said 'The one that's still in my head'. For me, the project in my head is often the most enjoyable because. I'm all by myself this saturday. and i couldn't be enjoying it more! After weeks of go go go go go go and leaving town every weekend, it is so nice to wake up late to a quiet house, make coffee, slowly come to life. i usually am not a big baker, but i felt like blueberry muffins so i made some. Then i felt like starting (another) knitting project, so i wound some yarn. Then i felt like finally getting around to blocking my FINISHED(! Lightweight pullover. so i did that too. thorny desert girl: totally and completely finished!

http://thornydesert.blogspot.com/2010/03/totally-and-completely-finished.html

Totally and completely finished! Somehow, when i wasn't paying attention, a whole crop of finished knitted things appeared in my house! As my pile of current projects grows and grows, i take real satisfaction in sewing up those seams, weaving in those ends, and admiring a totally, completely, finished product. it feels so tidy and gives me a strange sense of relief. does that mean that knitting projects stress me out? Yarns used: mirasol hacho, araucania aysen, madelinetosh worsted. I also made these:.

Sunday, July 15, 2007. I have no new knitting to report on. I have only been able to knit about 1/2 of a sock in the last week. I had lots of knitterly plans, but then life intervened. The next morning, we got up early to start packing. My husband loaded up our dog Bruce to take to stay with family while we were gone. When they arrived home around 10:30, my daughter came in crying and said that Bruce was dead. Thursday, July 05, 2007. Started: Saturday, June 30, 2007. Finished: Thursday, July 5, 2007.

That are done in Colinette Jitterbug. I absolutely LOVE this yarn. Because the Jitterbug is a little thicker than most sock yarns, and because it has a smaller yardage, I made a few minor modifications to the original pattern:. Jitterbug Hourglass Eyelet Socks:. Knitting Nattering

Thursday, September 13, 2007. I've decided to consolidate a bit, and have merged this blog in with my regular one. Why protect the masses from knitting, after all? Must share, and potentially rope in new. So, please, come join me over at http:/ katesaid.wordpress.com. The knitting posts won't happen any more often than they did here, I suspect - but there will be a lot more going on as filler in between the important, fiber-enhanced stuff. I have my first FO to show you - a lap quilt/ baby cot sized quilt, block by block, firstly if you will indulge me:. And, finally, the finished object - TA DA! So great to meet at last!

Knitting Naturals | Knitting, Crocheting, and Craftyness

Rag Rug Woes and Other Crafty News. So I had a bunch of old sheets that we weren’t using, and had the brilliant idea to use them for a rug. It’s resourceful and eco-friendly to upcycle something, right? Then I learned a valuable lesson–I don’t like making rag rugs. So I just finished it and it’s too small. But I do look on the bright side. I tried something new and I didn’t care for it. That’s ok. Trying new things always teaches us more about ourselves. And for that I am thankful. Knitting Naturals | Knitting, Crocheting, and Craftyness

Christmas is certainly upon us, and with less than a week to go, I hope you’re all ready for the festivities! This year, I decided to make everyone on my list a holiday wreath, each with a little (or a lot) of my great-grandmother’s yarn. I love the warm, cozy look and feel of yarn-wrapped wreaths, so I made my own versions. Some I simply wrapped with a single piece of yarn, others I wrapped with a. I couldn’t post all the wreaths, since not everyone has opened theirs yet 😀 but I loved making them!

Knitterly thoughts with a few rambly nanners. February 2, 2008. I’m not dead yet… please don’t put me in the cart (and FO). I started (and am almost finished) a nice new neckwarmer for moi based on the Imperial Herringbone stitch. All that’s left is to weave in the ends and sew on those cute buttons. I finished a pair of booties for my adorable nephew. These were originally slated to be a christmas present if everthing else got done. As if- what was I thinking?
