Knitting Up The Road: January 2013
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 4, 2013. This article was written by Dean Rippetoe of Midland, Texas. He expressed my feelings of forecasting perfectly. Trained weather forecasters can't even tell us exactly what is happening with the weather! Someone once said, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your long range plans”. We could also be a week away from a huge success in life, Our ship may be docking right now. The greatest year we have ever experienced may be 2013. Thomas Edison said when he invented the phonogra...
Knitting Up The Road: December 2011
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Mother asked me what I would really like for Christmas and I requested a hanging needle holder like she made me last year. This is the one she made for my longer, 36-40 inch circular needles. The hanger broke so this year she reworked the top a little. Lots of room in each pocket so I can put several needles of the same size in each one. This year I wanted one for 16 -24 inch lengths. Mother pulled out fabric and zipped out this one for me. Saturday, December 24, 2011. 1 cup c...

Sunday, January 1, 2012. Time for new beginnings of creating the very best life for the rest of our days. I really can't give any better wishes than the ones presented on this greeting card so have borrowed it to share. May you get a clean bill of health from your dentist, your cardiologist, your gastroenterologist, your urologist, your proctologist, your podiatrist, your psychiatrist, your plumber and the I.R.S. May you remember to say "I love you" at least once a day to your spouse, your child, your pa...
Knitting Up The Road: June 2013
http://knittinguptheroad.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Fun at Magnolia State Fiber Fest. The first Magnolia State Fiber Fest was a busy, colorful experience. There were classes on knitting, felting and weaving that I observed for a few minutes each. Also demos of spinning and weaving going on. When we asked about a particular knitting technique, the knitter was more than happy to describe how it was done. Lots of friendly, helpful organizers, demonstrators and vendors were there. Garnet color, Stardust Sock Yarn. I am a retired bookk...

Lifestyles of A Selfish Knitter. Knitting and dancing in the beautiful Texas hill country. Friday, April 04, 2014. Catching up with FO's and WIP's. Last time I posted was in November and I had the Lace Cardi. In progress. I finished it just a few weeks ago. I like it but the bust area is a little large. This is a problem that others who've made it also had. Oh well. It's roomy and I love the color. I love this shrug. Scarf is nearing completion. I have 2 repeats to go. Yay! And I even bought the pattern!

Lifestyles of A Selfish Knitter. Knitting and dancing in the beautiful Texas hill country. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. I've been a bad blogger. It just seems like too much trouble most of the time. But, here's a little update since August with pictures of the things I've finished. Hitchhiker was finished in August. I absolutely love it! Cowl was a fun quick knit and was one of my possible choices for the scarf swap but it is also a bit scratchy. Fun, fun fun! Carrie R. made me make this one. Last year I ...
