Knitting with Spokes: Done
http://knittingwithspokes.blogspot.com/2010/02/done.html
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Friday, February 12, 2010. My opus is complete. It has been done for a couple weeks. After two hems, two button trims and hours of darning ends. Blue Sea is complete. At least my confidence in my abilities allows me to learn from everything I do and ripping out is not defeat just another opportunity to knit some more. Knitting with Spokes: December 2007
http://knittingwithspokes.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Thursday, December 27, 2007. I guess mittens were the gift of choice this year. The following are pictures of mittens I made for Christmas gifts this year. The lighter ones are made with Brown Sheep mohair blend yarn. The yarn worked wonderfully and they are very soft to the touch. Links to this post. Sunday, December 23, 2007. Thursday, December 20, 2007. Monday, December 17, 2007. My first seamless yoke sweater. Knitting with Spokes: October 2007
http://knittingwithspokes.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. What will it become? I think it was a day after I received "Knitting Workshop" by Elizabeth Zimmermann for Christmas I was knitting in the round. I had this wonderful wool from Australia so I set off a knitting. I thought I had a good gauge going about half way it felt small so I did add some stitches. Finished the sleeves, loved EZ's way of adding stitches, no holes! Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Knitting with Spokes: September 2007
http://knittingwithspokes.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Friday, September 28, 2007. Warm Hat and Mittens. Here are the mittens I made with my new Turbo 12" circular needles, each one only took a day. I designed the patterns from Fairisle knitting. The warm hat idea is from EZ, the brown side is looser since it is only one layer of yarn, but it fits inside without bunching. Thursday, September 27, 2007. A Surpise is coming. Wednesday, September 19, 2007. No photo to show update. Monday, September 3, 2007.
Knitting with Spokes: Not going to happen!!
http://knittingwithspokes.blogspot.com/2009/12/not-going-to-happen.html
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Sunday, December 20, 2009. Not going to happen! I was planning on finishing this sweater for Christmas. I finished sleeve one on Friday night, I decided I don't need the stress of finishing a second sleeve and darn all the ends and block the whole thing in only a couple days. Oh Well. Knitting with Schnapps
My Very Best Friend! Wednesday, January 3, 2018. New year, new hat patterns. Schnapps spent his New Year's Eve and Day working on this new hat. We are sharing it with you now so that if you are in the path of this big snow storm headed for the East Coast and you have some yarn on hand (and really, who doesn't have at least SOME yarn, right? Then you can make one or two or more of these while you are snowed in. Thank you Teresita for the name of this hat! Schnapps and I got some great knitting gifts this ...

Knitting with Spokes
Celebrating my interest in knitting and biking. Sunday, December 5, 2010. It is done. The top picture is the inside with the crocheted steeks. It looks wide and short, but I made adjustments for the receiver of this sweater. The sleeves hang funny with the decrease on the top of the sleeve. I hope it flattens when worn. Links to this post. Monday, November 29, 2010. More Pictures of the Green Sweater. Links to this post. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Links to this post. Friday, July 30, 2010. My opus is comp...

Knitting With Strangers | and other assorted pastimes
And other assorted pastimes. What was I doing when…. July 16, 2016. Today marks the 1 year anniversary of an attack in Chattanooga that changed the way many people felt about our city. I recently saw a facebook post asking “What is the Fallen 5? I did not get very far when I first attempted to approach the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center. Are there more armed people in the area? Is the threat still active? We waited for hours in lock-down before the press conference began. It was 92 degrees outside&...
