biscuit: June 2014
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 26, 2014. Another bag to throw on the pile of project bags. This is the front. I am not sure about the air mail block, but otherwise I love it. Pretty similar to the front really. The pattern is easy to follow but I don't think the template matches up with the number of Hexes. I would make them 4" next time. I also ballsed up the lining but that's my own fault. So all in all, a successful project. There is a more secure one I would like to try. Or some shorts for Penelope or some harem...

biscuit: April 2015
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. So I finally finished sewing all the sashing for the jitterbug and decided to try and get it moving again. I laid out all my bits and moved them around until I was happy. I think the finished quilt will be nice but it's hard to tell. I think against my green carpet it doesn't look so nice. I think it needs bare floorboards and a white, sunny room. doesn't everything? So now it's border time. I did toy with the idea of sacking the border. It feels big enough already! You might thin...

Tuesday, May 05, 2015. Well, for some time. It was amazing. It's a sign of the future hopefully. I am really into looking through my Judy Hopkins book. It just has everything you would ever need. I mean how can you go wrong right? A while a go I saw the beginnings of a great looking quilt. But alas, no. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Bank holiday quilt finished! I'm a ginger monkey. Oh, hello friend. John Lewis Central London. Knit with Attitude Stoke Newington. Prick your finger Bathnal Green.

biscuit: October 2014
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. The best thing about it was looking through everyone else's pictures. I really enjoyed it. I'll be sad when it's over. The last day's challenge which is today is called 'soakworthy'. So you have to show a picture of something you think needs this special quilt washing detergent. I decided that everything needs it so I took a picture of every quilt in the house (apart from the tiny ones and one I forgot). 1 Christmas Joy - 2000 - Mum. 2 Baskets or Butterflies - 2002 - Mum. 10 mad...

biscuit: May 2015
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. A while a go I did some small feather blocks. I decided to use my fabric pull - hark at me knowing all the terminology - and make Rachel a bag. I am such a nice friend. These are such precious fabrics that I almost can't bear to use them. I just love looking at them. I love the Kaffe Fasset shot cotton, it's so soft. I am really pleased with how the green fabric held up against the purples. I love it. I want to make a whole quilt like this now. Front and back together. Here is an id...

Sewing, knitting and other crafty endeavours. Vintage baby knits: Audrey Hoodie. Over the summer i’ve been dabbling in quite a bit of knitting for small people, with several friends expecting this autumn. The first of these is the Audrey Cardigan, taken from a book called Vintage Baby Knits by Kristen Rengren. I chose the Audrey Cardigan as it was touted as “an example of the quick-to-knit patterns so popular in the late 1950s”. The yarn I used was Sidar Snuggly Baby Speckle, a 60% cotton and 40% acrylic...

Land of Emma: January 2011
http://craftcrazy82.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 January 2011. I am so happy. I was determined to have it finished in January especially as I have joined Annies. This is my January make and I am sooooo pleased with it and more importantly so it bug! Such bright happy colours were a pleasure to work with, I don't know how long this blanket will last with little bug already dragging it around. The yarn is bargain acrylic so this beauty can be washed and dried to my hearts content which is perfect for bug blankies :). Tuesday, 25 January 2011.

biscuit: September 2014
http://biscuitmonster.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2014. I did find a nice offcut of linen (Ikea stuff from Sam's pencil roll) in the cellar though (where the stash currently lives) for the purse. So that was a result. I do have a whole metre of linen from the local cheap craft shop £4.50! But actually, it's not very nice. Sigh. This is very annoying. Just look at it! The one on top was from Ikea. It wasn't that cheap which is annoying as you've gone all the way to Ikea under the impression that everything is cheap. They don't see...
