big kid table: Yes, sometimes I put birds on things
http://bigkidtable.blogspot.com/2011/08/yes-sometimes-i-put-birds-on-things.html
Thursday, August 4, 2011. Yes, sometimes I put birds on things. I finally learned how to embroider! And lots of super cheap embroidery floss from Knittn' Kitten. Here's what I like about embroidery: it allows me to feel productive while I spend evenings inside catching up on TV shows. That I really should have watched awhile ago. TV and crafts go so well together. September 14, 2011 at 3:38 PM. Have we talked about the tv/emroidery match made in heaven? Because it is so clearly a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!

What diana did next. A blog about dresses and dressmaking. May 24, 2015. In Outfits I've made. One thing I love when I go on holiday is having a scout around local fabric shops. When we went on our roadtrip this year, I was hoping to stop by a few. Portland was a fun place to do that. We were staying in the Alberta Arts district, which meant I was a short walk from both Bolt. I decided to turn the fabric right-side out for that so that I had an interesting contrast. I just love the brightness of this...
The Butterfly Bush: June 2015
http://diannekronika.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 27, 2015. My break from the studio was punctuated by a flurry of activity in visiting, and our granddaughter providing a reminder that she had been here:. We got the chance to have several days together, sharing meals, stories, reconnecting with old friends, and getting lots of hugs. After they left, I was able to return to the studio and begin working, again, on the quilt. Some of the pieces are now up on the design wall:. And on community work vs. political action:. The press conference ...

Tuesday, May 31, 2005. I don't know who is more excited when the Martha Stewart Kids Magazine. Arrives, me or Mia, but we always have to do a project right away. This weekend we made papier-mache (or as Mia calls it, "paper-crochet") vehicles. Mia and I collaborated on these hot-air balloons. Going for a ride. And Miles made this spaceship. Mia added the pirate flag. Now if only Mia's birthday wasn't in December, so we could throw that beautiful Midsummer's Night Dream pixie party. Monday, May 30, 2005.

Friday, April 29, 2005. My daughter has always risen with the sun. No matter how dark we make her room, she is awake at dawn. "I can hear the birds," she says. Now that she is older (well, 5), she usually lets us sleep in and reads to herself in her room or comes downstairs to draw at her art table. She must have been hearing the birds again, because here's what she drew this morning:. She had Ed Emberley's Drawing Book. Open for inspiration. This one is in her nest of eggs:. Girl in a skirt. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. I had the pleasure of taking a quick road trip up to Seattle this past weekend. While there, I stopped by Sassafras. A month old shop in the heart of beautiful Belltown, to drop off some clothes for the shop. The owner, Amy is a total sweetheart and the shop is stocked with beautiful garments and accessories by Northwest designers. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit! Here is a sneak peek of the Love To Love You items that they currently have in stock.
girl in a skirt: With Fall Comes Change
http://girlinaskirt.blogspot.com/2013/09/with-fall-comes-change.html
Girl in a skirt. Friday, September 6, 2013. With Fall Comes Change. I've always been one to embrace change, whether it be as minor as a haircut or as major as a move across the U.S., I find a change is always a breath of fresh air and a good way get out of a rut. This last month has been an onslaught of change and activity which has me feeling great, if not a bit overwhelmed. I'm envisioning a fresh coat of yellow pain and lots of flowers. Slinging books at Powells. Taken by Scott Ryan- coworker. Hello h...

Confessions of a lazy knitter. Michele /akkasha's knitting journal. Mostly a place to babble about my latest projects. Friday, July 21, 2017. No SSK or Tour de Fleece This Year. When I logged into Facebook today and yesterday, there were pics from last year at SSK. I got into SSK again for this year. I even sent the deposit. But then some personal changes happened. And I figured it was smarter not to attend this year. For which, I am *very* grateful for now. My family are closing on a house on the 26th.

Welcome to a slice of my life. Tuesday, April 06, 2010. Thanks again to Artfully Ooglebloops. For re-inspiring my Tea On Tuesday posts. I recently took part in the teabag swap that was organized over there. I was matched up with Egmont. 0160;who has a variety of great blogs. He very generously sent me a variety of his personal favorites. First I opted to try an old favorite Genmaicha. 0160;I used to drink this tea with oranges at 綠皮鴨 in Soho. Then I tried the Mo Li Zhen Zhu. Finally I tried the Kukicha.

Knittin' Threads in the Dirt
Knittin' Threads in the Dirt. This blog is contains my trials and triumphs of quilting, rug hooking, gardening and knitting. Oh yeah, anything else I decide to write about ;-). Thursday, July 12, 2012. Has it really been that long since I blogged? I have figured out that marriage is like canoing down a river. Sometimes it is calm waters but lately it's been very uncomfortable rapids. Let's just say I need to buckle my life vest a little tighter before I jump ship and swim for shore. Tuesday, May 11, 2010.
