Knitty Goodness: April 2007

http://knittygoodness.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html

All the Fiber, None of the Fat. Monday, April 30, 2007. FO and a found computer cable. Houston we have pictures. First are the April socks for the Sock a Month KAL3. Notice the sock forms….look close….those are boxers cut out on the forms! How cool is that! These were gifted to me by my secret pal and waiting for me when I got home from work on Saturday. I LOVE them. The socks fit me perfectly but it’s 80 degrees in Texas, so wool sock wearing weather has passed for the time being. Another Saturday and I...

Knitty Goodness: Nuts but alive

http://knittygoodness.blogspot.com/2007/10/nuts-but-alive.html

All the Fiber, None of the Fat. Friday, October 26, 2007. The knitting muse as left me….hopefully only momentarily. I still haven’t finished Mr. Mans socks. In fact I’ve actually frogged them 4 times….every single time I attempt to do the heel decrease I mess it up. This is making me nuts…. Work is stressful right now, someone bought the building we’ve been renting for the last 12 years and we have to move the business. This too is making me nuts. Hey but I'm alive.:). Knitty Goodness: October 2007

http://knittygoodness.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

All the Fiber, None of the Fat. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Our truck got tagged but it’s so darn cool I’m going to keep it and hope whoever did it will come back and finish it. Mr Man’s socks are still unfinished ….here look:. These should have been a fast easy knit….they’re booties in a super simple pattern and yet that’s how far I’ve gotten on them….seriously….what a slacker. I LOVE it….Love that bag! Friday, October 26, 2007. Work is stressful right now, someone bought the building we’ve been ...

Knitty Goodness: November 2007

http://knittygoodness.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

All the Fiber, None of the Fat. Monday, November 26, 2007. Ok…I’ll admit it. Getting goodies in the mail brings out the 5-year-old in me. Today after an unbelievable ugly day at work I had this waiting for me on the kitchen table:. Ok….it was packed and wrapped up in lovely white tissue paper each sealed with little winter themed stickers. I am slightly more mature then I was at age 5….I did manage to open the card first:. And just incase that wasn’t exciting enough Penny also included this:. The promise...

Knitty Goodness: March 2007

http://knittygoodness.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

All the Fiber, None of the Fat. Saturday, March 31, 2007. It’s still March right? Nothing like taking it right down to the wire. The pictures are lousy but once I had her try them on I couldn’t get them off her feet…. Thursday, March 29, 2007. OMGI must have this! Is that the best damn bag you've ever seen? Guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work last night? Yes you guessed it….a package for my secret pal! Some yummy merino in the most amazing colors (yes I’m in love with this yarn).

Caged Minutes: January 2008

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 02, 2008. It is 2 days into the New Year. It feels good. There was much to close the book on in 2007. One of the gifts in our household this year was a power meter which measures the electricity consumption of any single item, or can be fixed to the mains meter to calculate total household power consumption and cost. This was a good way to focus our attention again on our carbon footprint after a fortnight of extra consumption through extra heating, cooking and lighting. I received som...

Caged Minutes: Red Belt!

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007/12/red-belt.html

Monday, December 17, 2007. Back in September, I joined a women only kickboxing course. It has been great fun, I have made new friends, and got a lot fitter. Today I had my first grading and passed my red belt test! Not only that but I got the highest score in the class! Congrats on making your red belt! Once again awesome and well done! Also lovely to see your paintings again. (I visit daily and don't always leave a comment but it's part of my blogging routine and a highlight of my day!

Caged Minutes: February 2007

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Today we tried applying last week's colour theory to a still life in water colour. I did not do very well! I found it very difficult today. I could have spent all morning on the sketch, let alone try and deal with the colour. Anyway the good points are, I like some of the texture I achieved on the taller jar, and the reflected colour from the apple. Overall, though, I was disappointed. Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Well, I have now finished recyclin. Now that's what I mean.

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007/10/threads-and-beads.html

Tuesday, October 09, 2007. This brings my total of Christmas cards made so far this year to 48! Only 52 more to go! So far I have never met my target of making all 100 cards. but this year is looking the closest yet. This 100 does not include the 30 homemade ones we also make for little chap to give to his school chums! I have also finished the first skein of silk boucle that I am using to knot a scarf for a blogging friend. just tying on the second skein now. They are truly beautiful.

Caged Minutes: August 2007

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

Tuesday, August 21, 2007. My little chap has only one week of the summer holidays left. Where has the time gone? When the summer began, I knew it would be difficult to post during July, and August, but I did not know how difficult it would become. This blog came very close to being a victim of the delete button, but kind comments and encouragement from family and friends near, far, and Internet. And the wonderful talents of other people I happen across. So the latest FOs. No pictures as yet. but soon.

Wednesday, January 31, 2007. If they threaten to do so then the recipient has to have their present early! The final touches are to add decorations suited to the person they will be given to. I usually add candles, incense sticks, beads, and a small figure. Here are some details from the "good kharma bunny peace garden" and "poetry peace garden" I hope the people I have given them to have as much enjoyment from them as I have had making them. Caged Minutes: Ho ho ho!

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007/12/ho-ho-ho.html

Sunday, December 16, 2007. The big day is drawing near: we now have our Christmas tree up, all gift shopping is complete and items are wrapped, all international cards were sent by the postal dates (yay! Little chap has only three days more at school, our Christmas meat order and veg box order have been submitted, and I have even been caught humming the odd Christmas tune or two! Christmas came early for me, actually, as I received a wonderful package from Katie at L'aubergine joyeuse. Yes Love. Dad.

Caged Minutes: I won!

http://cagedminutes.blogspot.com/2007/12/i-won.html

Thursday, December 06, 2007. I often seem to win competitions in December! Last year I won the Christmas Raffle at the toy library, the year before I won a PDA. From the newspaper, and this year I won a prize in the recent E cover. I love little books of wisdom, and so I was delighted to win the "I count" book of ways to stop climate chaos, and the Ecover. Guide for greener living. Here are some food related ones, seeing as we are entering the season of over indulgence:. Imagine throwing that in your bin.

Wraps, Scarfs and Accessories. A knitterly and occasional crafting blog. Asymp; Leave a comment. JJ turned 18 months yesterday! Stuff I am working on. I am terrible at blogging! I had tried to make a make top called Askew with my Noro Silk Garden, but it didn't come out quite like I have planned. So I took the project apart and had the yarn sitting there for a while. One day I was looking on Knitting Pattern Central and I saw it- the Cloud Bolero! Love Covers All Offenses. If we stay hating them it will only cause fights and quarrels, but love will cover all those offenses. Is that not what God has done for us? And we know that G...

Today is the day. 12 days to go! Yes, it’s only 12 days until we will install. The Woollypoles in Devonport. I’m so excited because it will be truly amazing! Today I’m only giving you close-up sneak peeks,. But lots of them. There are still quite a few pieces to come. Impressed, so far? Yes, there will be animals on the Woollypoles! In the last post you could see the wee bees. That came flying in and now I know that there. Will be more bees, a ladybug and a puppy as well! They make lots of clever things!
