Knitwits Blog: Knitwits "Where Friends Are Made"
http://knitwitsblog.blogspot.com/2013/10/knitwits-where-friends-are-made.html
Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Knitwits "Where Friends Are Made". According to the Urban Dictionary, are friends who have each others' backs, look out for each other, spend lots of time together, and are just really good friends. According to the Urban Dictionary, are pictures taken of oneself while holding the camera at arms length. Janet and I are Besties. Who try to take Selfies. While we like to think that we're Urban Dictionary material, we aren't- we're not 14-21 years old. Our lives are touched each an...

http://knitwitsblog.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Back in the 41017. It's been a week since we returned from the wonderful birthday trip. I still have a few days off before I go back to flying.so it truly has been a fabulous vacation. I have been able to ease back into a routine of time at the shop, knitting/crocheting, napping and spring cleaning. 50 ain't so bad! 50 Ain't SO Bad! Or "What was your favorite place? These are really tough questions to answer. I thought Prague was amazing (and still do) but Budapest was even better!

Friday, May 17, 2013. My Return to Blogging. It's been a very long time since I blogged! So much has happened since my last post.a few steps backward, a few steps forward and a lot of time spent running in circles. In September 2012, Comair, the airline that I flew for for 15 years, clipped my wings, closed their doors and left me and thousands of other folks trying to figure out how to update our resumes and file for unemployment benefits. Because of Knitwits, we find purpose, strength and comfort.
Knitwits Blog: October 2013

Monday, October 21, 2013. I went home yesterday (Sunday), turned on the TV, cleared off the UFOs from the couch and laid down for a little nap- still feeling a little punk from my cold. I woke up a little later and Bill Moyers and Company. Was on the TV. This is not a program that I usually watch but I was groggy and I couldn't find the remote amongst the UFO pile. Bill's guest was Clinical Psychologist, Sherry Turkle. Well, I call it "alone together." That we're moving to a space where we feel free ...

Blogging about knitting, my life and my cats. all knitters gotta have cats right? Sunday, April 13. I think it's about time I actually made a post on my poor neglected blog don't you? I haven't been up to as much knitting as I would have liked lately, being shouted at by upset people who failed their driving test all day sometimes just makes me want to blow stuff up in World of Warcraft rather than knit on an evening! Friday, August 31. A labor of Love. Knit it for you! Uncomfortable and they make you fe...

Monday, December 16, 2013. Amazing that it is December 16th.2013! This year. and the past 40 have whizzed by. My mom would make me Festive Christmas skirts of red felt, holiday cutouts, beads, sequins and anything else you jam on a piece of felt- -they were works of art and the envy of many little girls at Boyd Elementary School. When I outgrew the skirts (which was only twice), they were re-purposed as Christmas tree skirts. I remember decorating (overdecorating) Christmas Sugar Cookies and getting our ...

A Knit Wit Scribbles
A Knit Wit Scribbles. Bobby shoved his hand into the cooler filled with ice. As he searched and searched for his beloved Dr. Pepper, he felt his hand growing colder and colder. He knew he was running out of time before frostbite would start to set in on his fingers, followed by gangrene, and then he would have to amputate his hand to save his life. Shouted one of his friends, Come on! I’ll be right there! Bobby shouted back, sitting down in the grass. I just want to finish my soda! Bobby handed Christina...

The Knit Cafe Seattle
The Knit Cafe Seattle. 6/6/05 10:30 am -. Not really much of an update. Life gets in the way of everything! I met up with someone recently and checked out the yarn and tea place in shoreline and weaving works in the U. Both places were massively impressive and fun to visit, but either far enough away or different enough in structure to not be direct competition for me. I am still working toward making this place a reality, I haven't forgotten, but it's a big project and it will take time. Well, both of m...
