Friday, 27 April 2012. Teaching was cool,Hardcore Bus Journey,Luongphabang Laos. I really enjoyed my teaching experience. I spent an hour with 2 young Vietnamese restaurant workers going through phrases that were key to their front of house roles. I had a long list of English phrases that I walked them through, I'd say the phrase first pointing out the written words as I went and then they'd do the same. Monday, 30 April 2012. Having a Big Chill. Hiya, not much to report at the mo,I've just been chillin out in beautiful Luongphabang for the last few days. It's so hot here,pushing 40 degrees, it's just an effort to walk to the shops. We have violent thunderstorms every night and often have no power until the afternoon. I did go and see a gorgeous waterfall yesterday, I reckon it was about 200 feet high. There were loads of places to cool off and have a swim afterwards which was a treat. That's about it fo...

Friday, 13 January 2012. My last day at the office. Wow I walked out the door of my place of work for the last time yesterday after 25 years having decicided to take the money and take my chances, free as a bird, how cool is that! Feels like a life time,so many memories ,so many faces,some real good times and a few not so good, such is life, no regrets though. Friday, 30 December 2011. So where to go first? OK so all my guide books have arrived from Amazon so time for some serious reading. To kick off I'm thinking South East Asia then NZ and Oz or the other way round, just need to tie in South America as the last port of call and try and keep the direction of travel going in the same direction to keep the air fair down. Friday, 20 April 2012. Managed to get through the rest of the motorcycle tour in one piece. Last 2 days were the best seeing us ride to the highest peaks in the Central Highlands,so beautiful and rugged. Got a bit of a soaking at the same time but that's always nice to cool down out here,it's so hot. Me and Tom rated it as the highlight of our trips so far,well worth the money. Finished up in Hoian and got a hotel with a swimming pool which was a treat. Got our heads down about 10 PM and both slept fine.
