GeniuSoft: August 2008
http://geniusoft.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2008. In an effort to save time and minimize input errors in the Fire Sprinkler calculation program, HASS, GeniuSoft has created software to import a DXF file from AutoCAD and save it in the native HASS format (SDF). This program (FireCalc) makes input quick and easy by automatically setting pipe Size and Type, based on what layer the DXF lines are drawn on. So a line drawn on the layer "FP-MAIN" will automatically be set to be the Size and Type for a MAIN. Wednesday, August 13, 2008.

Map 3D and Murphs Law. Autodesk Map 3D tips and tricks. When will it happen? When will it happen? BIM, LEED, and GIS. What light fixtures are used in the building, how much energy does it draw off the electrical lines from the civil model that’s in our 3D City? Are the toilets low flush in the buildings? Are the waste water lines in the area able to handle it? Most of these questions get answered during the design process, but what about the existing buildings? The bigger question is once all the data is...
