Last night, Irene put her stool, the one she stands on to brush her teeth and operate the bathroom light switch, in the bathroom cabinet while we were playing and giving Judah a bath. When we brushed her teeth last night, I almost didn't notice that she wasn't using it. She's tall enough to spit in the sink, that little baby. She's tall enough to turn on the light. Or, How did I get this Hickey? May 5th, 2010. I was just re-reading some posts from this time in Irene's life, five weeks, give or take, and things sure were different. Like, for example, I didn't know for a fact that Richie's mom was bona-fide crazy. I just thought she was passive-aggressive, rude, and eccentric. Or, How did I get this Hickey? April 14th, 2010. Judah's birth story is just like him. sweet and totally perfect. Honestly, looking back, it was the best experience I could have asked for. It was fast and painful, but doable, and incredible, and Martha was there. I mean, MARTHA ARRIVED THE NIGHT BEFORE and then just took hardcore care of me for a week. And I was SO emotional. I don’t have any of the proper tools yet, but anyway, here’s documentation of my first Bento. Irene and I baked no-yeast bread for the sandwich, first. Then, I used that bread to make my famous chunky peanut butter and jelly sandwich (the chunks are chopped up carrots, radishes and flax seeds). And the rest of the lunch:.
