Sunday, October 23, 2011. Ok, here it is. Sorry it took so long. I was in Anchorage for for a few days and then I spent the last few days in bed with the plague taking nourishment through a straw. Lotsa fun. In the end we did not have enough time to go to both Walmat and Carrs/Safeway while we were in Anchorage so we just went to Walmart and then I had him calculate the difference between the two. Saturday, January 21, 2012. Today was a cold and blustery day. Tonight is more of the same. Next week it will be colder. We have definately had out fair share of really cold weather this January. Friday, July 27, 2012. More birds, lol. I think this is an Arctic Warbler.someone correct me if I am wrong. These photos were taken June 20th. . Hmmm My bird books say the Arctic Warbler is white, not yellow. And, breeds in SE Alaska. All four of my bird books show something a bit different. For a while I thought it might be a Yellow Throat Warbler, but then I saw a photo of a Yellow Wagtail. Take a look. The books say it breeds right in your neighborhood, in willow thicket. This is the most free time I have had in a long time. Here's some more fishing pics. In Kotzebue we fish for chum (Keta) salmon with set net.
