She came very fast-my contractions started about midnight and she was here by 4:43! Benjamin is the BEST big brother in the world! He has been so sweet with her. He loved the different aquariums at the zoo and Sea World. We went in a cave.not exactly the best idea with an almost 2 year old! Sitting in his big boy seat on the riverboat. I'm trying to teach him to water the things that need it like flowers or the grass, but he really enjoys watering the driveway and the deck. He even tried to water the Explorer yesterday (it probably does need a good wash). Watering the beautiful potted plant our next door neighbor Marcelle made for us. He LOVES getting water from the house and the hose! He found this truck ...

It's been a wonderful summer, and I think in my "back to school" panic mode, I'm realizing how much we did and how much I need to update this blog! We've had so much fun and Benjamin is getting so big. He is talking and has quite the personality! Here are a few pictures from the cottage over the 4th of July to get started.there is MUCH more to come!

He had so much fun climbing the playstructure, going down the slide, and playing on the swings. He was smiling the entire time we were there! He is going to love spring and summer-I can't wait! Riding the dinosaur-loved this too! Last summer, I took Chloe with us to the park and she was barking at this dinosaur! Quite the guard dog, huh? He LOVED the slide!

We bought one of those pop-up pools and I think I've finally figured out how to put in the right amounts of chlorine and shock treatments, so we took advantage and went for a morning swim :). This pool is the perfect size-Benjamin can reach the bottom and not be underwater. One of his favorite things to do-take water out of the pool and water everything in sight with his little watering can. The doctor takes a wife.

You can tell warmer weather has arrived at our house.Benjamin and Chloe are back to spending endless hours on the screened in porch together. Chloe is not so happy that Benjamin is now able to join her in her favorite chair. How is this for an action shot? Sunday, March 7, 2010. Benjamin started his swim lessons this Saturday, and we predicted he would love the water and not be afraid at all. We were right-he LOVED swimming!

Actually, I guess I can't say it is a new obsession because he's always loved it, but it's gone to a whole new level in the past few months. The carpets and rugs in our house have never been cleaner-we literally have to vacuum multiple times a day to make Benjamin happy. If he finds the vacuum, he insists on using it right then and there! This is her daughter Olivia, who is 20 months old, and Benjamin enjoying being outside. Kristie helped me out SO much and watched Benjamin 2 days a week for the last few months. It has been such an incredible November! We are loving spending time outside-hope this great weather continues and winter never decides to come :). Wednesday, November 11, 2009. I can't believe it!
