Thursday, December 20, 2007. I printed a bunch of 5x7s of Kristy. And Hollywood for them to look through - - cyclocross pictures from Ham Lake, Rum River, and the state championships. I also printed a huge 20x30 poster-size print of this one, and took it down to Hollywood Cycles. Hoping to see Jay and hoping he would buy it from me. These photos show the camera and stabilizer balanced on my kitchen counter, and how many washers I used for the counterweights during my first video test. The forward weights can be used to fine-tune the left-right balance of the stabilizer, since the center holes of the washers are much bigger than the #8 bolt and I can position the washers a little bit off-center. Camster is on the yearbook staff and was assigned to photograph the WHS spring orchestra concert. had too much homework tonight, so she sent me instead. Friday, July 25, 2008. Bike goodies part 2 - New saddle. It sure seems like I wear out saddles quickly. My current one is completely coming apart — the seams are torn and the gel part is leaving sticky residue on my clothes. It's a Selle Italia Flite Titanium Genuine Gel (yellow) which I've had for two years. Time to get a new one! Haven't seen anything on chainlove.com for a while, so I decided to order from probikekit.com. England). I've ordered items from them before and have had good experiences.

Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Bike goodies #4 - somebody stop me! I've been sorta obsessed with sunglasses lately. Not the really good kind, like Oakleys; I can't afford them. The closest I ever came to Oakleys was the $8 counterfeits that I purchased near Times Square once, which lasted for maybe a dozen rides before the temples snapped in two. Last week I saw where the Toyota-United team. Then I ran across the PBK Motion sunglasses on ProBikeKit.com. Tonight I went to Excel Cycle. Links to this post.

Tuesday, December 9, 2008. I've succumbed to the Minnesota weather. Time to start hitting the winter trainer. Today I did my first indoor spin of the season, over at Now Bikes. Pretty nice setup: I can store my bike there for the winter, and drop by during lunch hour to do a one-hour spin with Lance's coach. Or watch Le Tour or Paris Roubaix or whatnot on their big-screen TV. We'll typically have three to six people, but today it was just Eric and I; Don should join us tomorrow. Links to this post.
