Kohawk Talk - Mitchell Lincoln

Monday, May 11, 2009. Well I graduated yesterday. Its hard to believe that four years have really gone by and the place I have called home for so long I now call my alma mater. All nostalgia aside, graduation day was amazing and bittersweet at the same time. It was, however, great for some final pictures. Anya and I after the ceremony. This is me getting my award and learning the secret handshake of Phi Beta Kappa. I'd love to have you! Wednesday, April 29, 2009. My last class as a Kohawk. And amidst all...

Kohawk Talk - Mitchell Lincoln: November 2008

http://www.kohawktalk-mitchell.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 20, 2008. Each year Coe's theater department puts on three major productions. Right now they are performing their second show of the year, Electra. The play follows the life of Electra, the main character, as she agonizes over the death of her father, who was a great warrior. Adding a twist to the plot is that Electra's father's murder is her own mother. This pain of losing her father at the hands of her mother drives Electra nearly mad. Thursday, November 13, 2008. Anyway, this year f...

Thursday, October 30, 2008. An Air of Presidency: My First Encounter With Barack Obama. I wrote this the other day to try to put some thoughts on paper. I don't know how applicable it is to Coe except that maybe I was on Coe's Washington DC term during the time I write about. p.s. my biases are out now, I'm an Obama supporter]. Thursday, October 16, 2008. An interesting week for the social scientist. While the last few weeks have been interesting in this field, this week has been the best so far. We&#821...

Wednesday, March 18, 2009. This is me at the Santa Monica Pier, rocking my white feet with the beach and mountains behind me. I love California! Caitlin and Brian on the Ferris Wheel on the Santa Monica Pier. Yes a Ferris Wheel on a Pier, it was awesome. This is me checking out the Hoover Dam. Quite an impressive feat of engineering. Katie's Coe Blog: March 2009

http://kohawktalk-mraz.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 16, 2009. Well contrary to popular practices, my final Spring Break of college was not outrageously wild by any means. As a matter of fact my spring breaks have gotten increasingly less exotic as the years have gone by. . Time with the members of my family without feeling compressed with a timeline. In anticipation of a future living away from home fast-approaching, it felt like the perfect way to spend my spring break. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Friday, May 8, 2009. It's strange to think it, but I'm finished with all the work of my undergrad, and will be crossing that stage into the next chapter of my life in TWO DAYS! Agh where did this year go? Didn't I just run for senate for the first time? And went to my first PUB Live show? And wasn't last summer my first experience at the field station? And my first summer away from home? Well I think I'll wrap this up here, but it's been a fun journey with you all! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am curren...

Kohawk Talk - Kristy Upah: Garry Trudeau

http://kohawktalk-kristy.blogspot.com/2008/03/garry-trudeau.html

Monday, March 31, 2008. On March 25, I went to Coe. 8217;s Annual Contemporary Issues Forum. Garry Trudeau (a Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist of Doonesbury) was the speaker, and I thought it was a really cool event.so naturally I thought I should recap the evening for you! I work for Coe's. Helping with this forum was definitely another one of those great experiences. Bio than even his own. Drawings of his works and clips from video were used as visual aids throughout his speech which kep...

Kohawk Talk-Sakinah: October 2008

http://kohawktalk-sakinah.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 23, 2008. 4 days until my P Chem test, 6 days until Vegas, 12 days until the elections, and 19 days until senior seminar. Talk about too busy. this would probably be the reason why I haven't posted for such a while. Monday I have two tests: Physical Chemistry and Macroeconomics. I'm only slightly worried about macro as there are many formulas, but I'm sure if I study hard, I'll be alright and have everything sorted out. P Chem, though. that class frightens me. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. I'm Done, It's Over :(. Well Graduation has come and gone and I am officially a Coe alumnus. Graduation weekend was beautiful with warm, sunny weather and lots of friends and family. My apartment is empty and my roommates are gone. It is all really sad and I will miss Coe dearly. Words cannot describe how much I love Coe and all the people I've met. I may have lied slightly.I'm not quite done. As I type this I am in the airport ready to travel to New Zealand for May Term! Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Time of my Life! The last weeks of college were so much fun. The time went by way too fast! This post will get you up to date on some of the best happenings at Coe, before and after graduation. This year I had the opportunity to plan one of the best days of the year at Coe, Flunk Day. Flunk Day is a dream come true: it is a surprise day in the spring when classes are canceled and for one day you can do whatever you want! Graduation day was a whirlwind! Ntal studies—and I ha...

Happy Summer, everybody! Sunday, April 25, 2010. It's the home stretch! I'm going to be busy with work and friends, but I'm going to miss the busy-ness that I get at Coe from classes, Coe-friends, work study, and all the extra things that Coe puts on just for us. :). Saturday, April 19, 2008. One final Flunk Day! Each spring the President of Coe College cancels a random day of class. This day is called "Flunk Day," a tradition of the college that, of course, continues to thrive at Coe! It was awesome. I could probably write about this year's FD for quite some time, but we all know the saying "a picture speaks 1,000 words," right? To the left is the foam party! There was a DJ and food for everyone still having fun on the quad.all night long! Welcome to Week 2! This we...

Monday, April 27, 2009. This is so weird. Today it officially hit me how fast graduation day is approaching. I have one more day of classes- Wednesday- and then it's time to study for finals. Wowza! Unlike a lot of my other friends, I haven't had the whole experience of thinking, "This will be my last final ever." This is simply because of grad school at Iowa State. Well- a few hours of data analysis, a chemistry write-up, 1 paper, and 2 finals later. I'll be done. That's a really weird feeling. The othe...
