Down on the Farm: Fabrics, Patterns and (almost) Finishes...
http://cinlynsworld.blogspot.com/2014/07/fabrics-patterns-and-almost-finishes.html
Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Fabrics, Patterns and (almost) Finishes. Just take a quick look at the clearance rack" I said to Liz as we were passing by the fabric on our way to the check out. Four cuts of fabric later and I had to make myself stop. A few days later, I found out that Joann's has McCall's patterns 5/$7.00 which makes them $1.40 each. There was a limit of ten but I stopped at five. I had a total savings of $73.75. I may add a little somethin', somethin' to the bottom. July 05, 2014 8:41 AM.

Down on the Farm: May 2013
http://cinlynsworld.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 30, 2013. I had a fairly quiet Memorial Day weekend. John was working so I stayed home and spent time in the sewing room. I got busy on using up some more of my fabric stash making reusuable gift bags and aprons. What I'm showing here is just a sampling and I will be posting them and the rest to my etsy shop later today. I need to get some alterations work done first. Also shown here is another little Rylee finish and the inkling of another idea.more on that another day! This is Butterick B...

Down on the Farm: Blackberry Pickin'...
http://cinlynsworld.blogspot.com/2014/08/blackberry-pickin.html
Tuesday, August 5, 2014. A friend has a "you pick" blackberry patch so this past Saturday morning we went to pick berries. I thought that Rylee would think it would only be fun for a hot second but she hung with us to pick a whole two gallons! Got them all washed, frozen, bagged and back in the freezer. I'll be going back tomorrow evening for another picking. Can't have too many blackberries in the freezer! Love me some blackberry cobbler! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She is happy to just run, giggle and stop to pick a dandelion or two. Thursday, April 25, 2013. Out my front window last night just before dark. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Because I had a few ingredients needing to be used up (and maybe because I had sweet tooth), I made these yesterday. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1 1/2 cups oatmeal. 1 cup white chocolate chip. 1 cup dried cranberries. Preheat oven to 350°. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheets.

Monday, April 28, 2014. My Little Country Girl. Friday, April 18, 2014. I knocked ashes down into the pit to await a good clean out this fall and I cleaned the doors and reset a few things on the mantles and set a few things out on the kitchen hearth. I love the warmth of our wood burning fireplace but let me tell you.it is work! From the cutting of wood to the hauling it up to the packing it in to getting up at 3:00 in the morning to feed the fire, it is work! And that's all she had to say about that!

Friday, May 30, 2014. A Weakness for Table Linens. And I know there's more stashed around the house. Some I received in swaps. A weakness when out treasure shopping in flea markets or antique shops. And some are from passed family. Plain, cross-stitched, crocheted or tatted edges. John's Grandma Merle and Great-Aunts seemed to put a crocheted or tatted edge on everything. I just love the piece on the right in the above photo. Embroidered floral designs. Some are faint and frayed from years of use. I've a...

Down on the Farm: A Couple of Finishes...
http://cinlynsworld.blogspot.com/2014/06/a-couple-of-finishes.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2014. A Couple of Finishes. And I just got them listed in my etsy shop yesterday! Both are freebie charts by two of my favorite designers. Home is Best by Betty Dekat aka primitivebettys. And this Token of Friendship by Lori Brechlin aka Notforgotten Farm. Sew much to do, sew little time. And working at home it can be so easy to get distracted. And not just with the everyday chores like laundry and weeding the flower boxes. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
