From: The Lost Recipe for Happiness - Barbara O'Neal. 1 mild green chile - roasted, skinned, chopped. 1/2 vanilla bean cut in half lengthwise. 1/2 C granulated raw sugar. 3 oz Mexican style chocolate - coarsely chopped. Measure cold milk into heavy saucepan, stir in chile. Scrape vanilla bean into milk and break up the pod. Add sugar, chocolate, cinnamon, and salt. Heat over medium heat until chocolate is melted and milk is steaming, (not boiling). Lard or shortening for frying.

Stir in flour and mix vigorously until a ball forms (about 1 min). Remove from heat and beat eggs into dough until smooth. Butter flavor cooking spray. 1/2 C unsweentened applesauce. 1 t vanilla extract. 8 large egg whites. 2 C raw sugar. 1/2 C unbleached all purpose flour. 1 C unsweetened Cocoa powder. 2 t instant expresso powder. 1 t baking powder. 1/2 C mini chocolate chips. Preheat over to 350 F. Thoroughly mist 12 cup non-stick mini - muffin tins w/ spray. 12 dried pasta shells.
