Sunday, July 7, 2013. Wildlife photo shooting on the way to Shigatse. Video of the deers:. Lunch was good. There were some tibetan kids around our cars so we passed them some biscuits and tit bits. Had a stop midway. i bought ice-cream to chase away the heat. We were a bit too fast so we stopped at roadside for half an hour just before Shigatse. By now we already know how to sing some of the songs that were constantly played during the car journey. The same songs just kept repeating.

Friday, June 28, 2013. Zhada Guge Kingdom Ruins 9-10 June 2013. Zhada was on a relatively low altitude of 3500m, so it did not feel as cold. Easier to sleep. Minus the fact that there were no bathrooms to wash up and no electricity, the beds were very comfortable. I slept like a log that night. The next morning we went to see the ruins of Guge kingdom. From the site of the ruins one was treated to a good view of the grand canyon and also the palace which was perched on various parts of the cliff wall.

Shangrila Trip 8-16 Aug 2009. Intro to the rivers. O understand Yunnan,. One need to understand the three rivers that flow parallel to each other. The rugged landscapes, the formation of town and villages, the economic actitives, everything that gives Yunnan a distinct taste stemmed from the fact that it is blessed by these 3 rivers. On the extreme left is Nu Jiang (怒江) which will flow down to Myanmar, known as the Salveen River in Myanmar. Credits: Some photos are taken by master chin and Chuen Yee.

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. The tuk tuk driver came and picked us up to the airport. It wasn't a long ride. We bought corns for light dinner before boarding. The meals on the plane is so light that it hardly fill any part of my stomach. On hindsight, should have done the Medan style with EK last time, have a sumptious meal before catching the flight haha.
