Kristen was just telling me about another kid we know of fighting an SPNET, about all the surgeries and treatments he has been through, and all the complications arising from them, and the only thing I could say was "Poor kid.". The roller-coaster ride of an 9-year-old boy's brain cancer: the parents' perspective. Sunday, December 2, 2012. Candle lighting December 9th. Shortly after Kol's death, Kristen and I attended a support group in Saskatoon for bereaved parents called The Compassionate Friends. And have continued going regularly since. It's been good to be able to talk with other parents who have lost children, to hear their stories of how they're coping, and what they are doing to honor and remember their children.

And now your own dear child has died. Maybe it was a short journey, only weeks or months since their diagnosis, or maybe it was years. But now they're gone, and we don't know what to say. Sunday, August 9, 2015. It's good to have Louise and Hartley on the farm again as we enjoy visiting back and forth with them. They came over on Friday evening and Hartley was pleased when I served lefse with our tea! Today Clare moved their camper from Oungre Park to the farm in preparation for harvest. I had to go out and have a tour as this one is new to them, a 2013 model that had only been pulled from Weyburn to Nickle Lake, a distance ten miles or so for the past two summers! Clare took a lot of pictures so I'll add more when he sends some. We stopped at Supervalu for some Elberta peaches before we headed home. I got the last two cases. Monday, August 31, 2015. Country Kids" entertaining at the Folk School in Førde, Norway. With a line dance and a country song. We were busy with harvest last week. Kirk and Carter helped out for three days. They were doing durum on our east land. Today Clare moved one combine to the land that he rents about 19 miles west of here to start on the lentils. Monday, May 25, 2015. LAST WEEK OF MAY! We had a classic car show up at Trinity on Sunday. Allan and Adele drove to church in their 1953 Chev that had been in the family all these years. It has not needed restoring as it has been kept under cover and taken out for a drive occasionally. It has 19,000 miles on it! Yesterday we drove to Weyburn in the afternoon as Eric had a ballgame at 3:00. It was a treat to watch ball instead of hockey! Rhett with his uncle and auntie. Marion is finally able to hold him.
