KTB Tissue Cryopreservation | Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank at the IU Simon Cancer Center

The Komen Tissue Bank has started to process breast tissue samples through a cryopreservation method. Currently there are approximately 15 20 cryopreserved tissue samples that are being stored in liquid nitrogen (vapor phase). The KTB is planning to expand this preservation method at its next two collection events (fall 2014). We anticipate having approximately 200 cryopreserved samples by the end of 2014.
