MissJellybeano: Routs, Pouts and Whatabouts: October 2006
http://jellybeano.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 29, 2006. I know All Hallows' Eve is observed on the 31st of October, but the enterprising clubs and restaurants in Singapore have decided to celebrate in advance to take advantage of the ever-precious Singaporeans' weekends. The few of us decided to put together some blood and horror for the fun of it this year. In order not to frighten our poor innocent family members and canine, we were considerate enough to rent a hotel room for our little dress-up regime. Hee. As he sipped his bottle...

Thursday, March 30, 2006. It is strange how technology facilitates social bonding and communication, overcoming geographical barriers on one hand, but yet on the other, impels people to retreat into their own private spaces, reclused and unacknowledging of the others within the vicinity. Old man: The bus is coming. Me: Oh, oh. Old man: I'm afraid you can't hear it coming, with your music. Me: Oh yeah. Thanks. Posted by jellybeano at 10:59 AM. Wednesday, March 29, 2006. http://jellybeano.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 28, 2006. What are the specifics that actually comprised of the word " ugly. I have a good girl friend who has very high standards of men in terms of physical looks and dressing. Most of the guys she ever gushed about are admittedly extremely good-looking and well-groomed hunks, equipped with muscular physique. When I am describing a friend, or showing a picture, or judging a person physically present who belonged to this segment of the population. Ugly is such an ugly. Finally, when I ...

MissJellybeano: Routs, Pouts and Whatabouts: February 2006
http://jellybeano.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2006. After a 50-minute jog around my neighborhood, I came home to guzzle a liter-bottle worth of H20. As I fermented and chatted with my friends in the next two hours, I felt my stomach gradually began to growl in hunger. I pondered if I should have supper to replenish my lost energy. Looking at the clock ticking close to an ungodly 3 am, I decided against it, finally taking my bath and going to bed. For the past 15 hours, no rest. And still having to wait. Anyway, during the meeti...

My university pal, Wai Kiat, picked me up from home to have lunch with Michelle and her beau at The Turquoise Room. Another one of those. Places in Singapore. This time, the bistro is located at the rather resort-like Gilman Village off Alexandra Road. More people will probably be familiar with Villa Bali. Which is situated within the premises as well. The pric...

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Eh, seldom do I catch local television programs. If I do, the contestants usually make me cringe. But today, as I was taking a break from work, a certain Jonathan Leong caught my eye. He has got the. Factor, all right. He is not good-looking but he exudes a certain calmness and X-factor. That, my friend, is an incentive to catch Singapore Idol. At least for us girls. Ha ha. Posted by jellybeano at 9:06 PM. Chocolate Truffle. (I must say I like the rum one alot. mmm.). The good th...

Thursday, August 31, 2006. SSO at the Park. Now, whoever said you need to spend a bomb to have a good time? You can have a smashing time anywhere, as long as you are with good company. Our food loot is quite spectacular. Sandy brought a bottle of white wine, I brought salami, pate de foie with crackers and carrots with dip, Huijun brought an enormous ration of snacks sufficient to feed a family for a week. We sang birthday songs, drank wine, fed ourselves to the brim, chatted randomly and read the papers.
