Kootenay Mom and Dad. Sunday, April 22, 2012. I forgot to post this awhile back. Oops! Hanging out with our chicks. They are growing so quickly! It tickles when they eat out of your hand! Chicken Little at almost 4weeks old. Watering her lettuce and marigolds. A day at the beach! Weiner roast, an hour or so paddle and some R&R! Getting into the mud and sand! Kootenay Mom and Dad. Saturday, September 24, 2011. My Fridays are all about hiking with the family! Loving the 4 day school week! Last weekend we went hiking along the Silver Cup Ridge. It was the first time we ever drove all the way to the alpine. The great part was that once we drove up there, the hiking was fairly flat and do-able for Rowan. (Can you see Odin by the truck? Kootenay Mom and Dad. Thursday, March 10, 2011. Fisher is already a month old! Not a real smile, but I'll take it! One month old and already so handsome. I wish I had a really nice camera for this shot. Oh well, even with the blurriness they are still cute! Wow, time is flying by! Our boy is already a month old! The first couple of times he went skiing on mama's chest and then we finally got the chariot out with both kids in it! Life just gets better with two! Yawn, all is well! First ski in the chariot!

My complete coin quilt seemed to me less like a collection of scraps and more like separate little windows framed with pretty white. Do you have a favorite window? For this quilt I used a bag of scraps that I bought from Anna Marie Horner. Since this was my first attempt at using a hoop, there is quite a bit of variation in my hand sewing, starting slightly irregular and becoming smaller and neater as I improved.
