Julie Townsend Studio: Telling a Story with a Paint Brush
http://julietownsendstudio.blogspot.com/2015/07/telling-story-with-paint-brush.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Telling a Story with a Paint Brush. I'm just using watercolor and pen and ink to make these sketches. I have no idea if this is the best medium to actually use to illustrate a story, but I feel I just have to get the ideas on paper and they can then be refined as I learn the correct processes. It is going to be a learning experience for me but I'm feeling up to the challenge. Sleeping can be a challenge when your bed dog is more like a bed HOG! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

As an artist it is always my goal that each piece I paint tell a story to those that see it. I am always drawn to subjects or compositions that have a connection to my own past or to things that have great meaning to me. Fellow Missourian and artist:. Artist and...

Julie Townsend Studio: January 2015
http://julietownsendstudio.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Tugging at Heart Strings. I've only been painting seriously for the past 3-4 years, and during that time there have been several pieces I have painted that have evoked a strong personal emotion. Usually they have been pieces that I have created that focused on my father who passed away 4 years ago today. At some point, I realized that rather than painting just a simply silver heart, I really needed paint my treasured puff heart pendant that once belonged to my dearest Aunt Mari...
