We all sat down by the commemorative plaque and had our pix taken and then walked down to the ocean where Penny and Terry threw the book of directions into the ocean! We then went to the boardwalk and smoked some celebratory cigars. We'll let you know our adventures of the return trip when we get home. CA to Santa Monica.

This time we came around a curve to see two burrows standing in the middle of the road! Seemed a little miffed when they had to move! View my complete profile. Monday, June 9, 2008. We awoke to sunny skies and laundry at the Big Texan did a couple of loads and had breakfast then headed for the Amarillo, Harley shop. Next we stopped at the Cadillac Ranch and signed one of the cars.see pic. Made our way to the Mid Point cafe where we met Joanne and Fran and had a slab of their famous ugly crust Pie.Yummy! View my complete profile. Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Then on to St. Louis where we had a wonderful frozen custard at Ted Drew's Custard (another route 66 icon).Love that ice cream! Went through a quaint little town called Cuba and on to Fanning Outpost they had some really unique souvenirs! It was extremely HOT today.96 degrees and very humid! We finally pulled into Rolla,MO at Zeno's Steakhouse and Motel.MAN what a great room and Dinner! I don't see a picture of Ed's steak salad! June 4, 2008 at 7:00 AM.

We also met some new friends by the the names of Ron and Charlotte from Indiana. we also saw our friends from Switzerland again, who decided to get remarried in real Las Vegas wedding chapel.
