Hence the lack of blogging. I hate being negative (is that an oxymoron? So I prefer to not say anything at all than to say something negative (usually), but I was reminded by my dear mother that people actually do read this blog and that I should probably update it. So about the things that have been a bit blah lately:. These days, I ...

Korean Chaos: Drive-by Gifting
http://koreanchaos.blogspot.com/2007/06/drive-by-gifting.html
I walked out of 3rd period ready to run to the airport. My students were so rude and disrespectful even on our last class together. It made me think "where have I gone wrong, what did I do? I'm writing this letter on my valuable book and I'll rend is and send you. (translation I have no clue). You'll read this in school, in airport, or in U.S.A. If you read this in school I'm shameful and I'm die. Oh I'm kidding. Some time ago you asked me that I have study only Jeju. Do you remember? ON THE BACK IT READS.

http://kateisinkorea.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Kate is in Korea. Korea and i are spending some serious time together. this is our story. Thursday, July 27, 2006. So many things and so little time lately. I have a few long-ish entries about Korea and its enchanting and non enchanting qualities that I am still plugging away on, BUT in light of the oh-so-exciting news I received yesterday I need to share and say a HELLO to the blog-reading world. Then, Province by Province, Mrs. Shim read off each ETAs name and the name of their school. Aimee (o...Amid ...

Love and Beauty Shock. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. We’d like to remind you that the second installment of your senior project. Was scheduled to be due tomorrow, Tuesday Feb 28. We’re going to push that due date back a few days until this Friday, March 3. We trust there are no objections! It continues to rain, and the sound of it is remarkably soothing. I hope I dream of something nice tonight, but objectively speaking, my life at the moment would give any dream a run for its money. The Old Man is Snoring.

http://uzura.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Love and Beauty Shock. Wednesday, September 27, 2006. If Korea Was Like The Oregon Trail, Everyone Would Be Dead From Cholera. 4 of the 6 people in my host family are sick, which means I was prepared to get sick myself, but not this way. Of course, this got the kids excited, so the little runts gather around me and start coughing all over me too. What once was a friendly elevator has been turned into an inescapable disease-filled metal prison. So no big deal, right? Just a playful joke? So it's finally t...

Korean Chaos: Final Lessons and Goodbyes
http://koreanchaos.blogspot.com/2007/06/final-lessons-and-goodbyes.html
Final Lessons and Goodbyes. What I chose to do instead is teach a lesson on diversity as some of my parting words of advice. After learning the proverb "don't judge a book by it's cover," my students play a game where they guess the personalities, jobs, and success of an individual based on one picture. This has proved one of my most interesting lessons thus far. Here are some of the comments I have received thus far:. He is not kind because he is dirty and ugly. He is poor and unsuccessful. Reflections ...

Love love-zura.: April 2006
http://uzura.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Love and Beauty Shock. Friday, April 28, 2006. It has been and continues to be a brutal final couple of weeks of college, so I feel like I deserve to gloat a wee bit. Hehe, I said wee. Here's what professor Andresen of the English department said about our glee concert last night:. A boon well deserved, fit reward for all you have given to us! A blessing for a blessing. Thank you to you all.". In any case, I guess we did a pretty good job. Come see us on Saturday and, if you can swing by, in Europe.
