Not sure what's sensitive information, so covered up a few important-looking things). Yes" "What did you study?

A mid-twenties aspiring teacher, in-between homes and jobs, takes up a position teaching English in South Korea. These are his stories. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Wow, it's been over a year since my last post; kind of crazy to think it's been that long. I'm still in Korea, just finishing up my second year soon. It's kind of funny when people ask you how Korea is; there's never a good answer. I mean, it's like asking people back home, "How's the US? It's been good, that's about it. Dum, dum, duuuuuuuum!

This week marks the last time that Janelle will be with us. She finished up last Friday, and Anthony so kindly offered his apartment for a going away party on Saturday. We'll all miss her a lot, and no doubt Mulkoki, Kokiri will be lessened by her absence. Good luck, Janelle, wherever you end up! Wednesday, November 19, 2008. A Day in the Life.

Heather's Korea Blog: August 2008
http://yearofkimchi.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
My life in Busan. Monday, August 25, 2008. Another's perspectives on Korea. Oftentimes I think that I miss a lot, taking the scenery and the differences here for granted as normal happenings in day-to-day life. I've noticed that the more of the world that I see, the more this tendency strengthens. Although I do see. It all, of course, the sights and experiences don't always register on my "hmm, I should blog about that! Radar (which may account for the lack of posts here, compared to my first travel blog).
Heather's Korea Blog: June 2008
http://yearofkimchi.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
My life in Busan. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Dongbaek Island, samgyetang, and a temple. Today a lovely Korean co-worker took me on a bit of a tour of Busan. It was such a good day! We went to Dongbaek Island, where the APEC conference of 2005 took place. Some of you know that I chose Busan because it matched up most closely to my ideal-lifestyle city: Vancouver. As we walked toward the island, I was struck by the similarities to Stanley park! Aww It even has its own seawall. But I digress. Though Buddhis...

My life in Busan. Wednesday, March 4, 2009. This is how it is. I've obviously reached the point where life is so normal. That I see no point in taking the time to post. This always happens; I apologize. I'll endeavour to do more posting. However, here is a link to a blog which is not only far more interesting, pretty, and informative about life in Busan than mine. but it seems to be updated more often too :). My life in Busan. Monday, May 25, 2009. A good time to leave? I am a little nervous. Yesterday, North Korea tested a nuclear bomb that seems to be much larger than the one it initially tested in 2006. A few hours later, the country test-fired a handful of short-range missiles. This is unnerving even under the best of circumstances, but, keep in mind that North Korea has. All sorts of weapons aimed at the big cities of the South (I have been living in the 2nd largest). Heather's Korea Blog: an English Village in my backyard!
http://yearofkimchi.blogspot.com/2009/03/english-village-in-my-backyard.html
My life in Busan. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. An English Village in my backyard! Ever since I've lived here, on the opposite side of the intersection there has been much construction. The sign board proclaimed "Busan Global Village" and I'd wondered what that could possibly mean. Well as I was searching through job postings today, I found an ad; apparently this is an English Village! So, I live next to an English Village! If able, send me an email! March 26, 2009 at 7:14 AM. Cooking Korean food with Maangchi.
