She's here and we're already 6 weeks in. I feel grateful to the surgical team that performed the operation and in particular to the attending physician that was willing to fudge some typical protocol to allow for a more natural and family-centered cesarean. I felt listened to and advocated for. As I laid on the operating table, numb and tingling, I practically held my breath waiting for her first cry. I was scared, excited, and anxious. Europe Trip, Part IV: Berlin. We've made it to the recap of the 4th stop of the European Extravaganza! Birthday in Las Vegas. This past weekend I celebrated my 29th birthday in Las Vegas. This checked one more item off my 30 by 30 List. And it marked the one year countdown to completing that list. On keeping a plant alive. One of my 30 by 30. Goals was to find a plant that I can keep alive for a least 6 months. On February 4, 2013, I made it to the 6 month mark (and therefore checked it off my list)! Needless to say, it was very dead by that point. So keeping a plant alive for 6 whole months was going to be an constant uphill battle. However, I won! Together we made it to the 6-month mark and I'm hoping to keep it alive even longer! The wedding locale was absolutely beautiful. It was on the property at The Hawk and Ivy bed and breakfast. And although I would be hesitant to recommend the b&b (due to the quirkiness of its owners), the property is incredible. The old tobacco barn has been redone and is so cute with all its strung lights and country feel. Seriously, this place is insane! Obviously my phone doesn't do it justice, but you can get an idea of how awesome it is. And then it was over in 5 minutes. Mary Kay, Heather, Me}.

Europe Trip, Part III: Prague. Prague, Czech Republic. We hit the ground running when we arrived from Vienna. A friend met us at the train station, we went back to her place and dropped our stuff, and then hightailed it up to the Castle only to find out that the indoor portions had already closed for the day. Dear Baby Girl,. Attend an Alabama Football Game. So….it's been another long hiatus. But lookie here, I'm back again. And, I'm back with a few updates on my 30 by 30. List Here's the short version, I turned 30 at the beginning of this month and I didn't quite finish off my list. And, I'm okay with that. Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho. This summer has been a whirlwind of visiting new places, hanging out with family and friends, and trying to stay semi-caught up with work and life in the midst of all the traveling.
