Olive Green: July 2015
http://theolivegreenwindow.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Jul 30, 2015. Into the Earth #3. We crossed our fingers on Friday for a weekend without rain, as it has proven to be impossible for trucks to climb up the grassy hill when the ground is wet. Against all odds after all the bad luck, the Weather Lords favoured our cause! Compacted ground ready for landscaping fabric. So the next part was easy. Pekka could just watch 15 tons of gravel (0 - 32 mm in size) moving 20 meters up hill to our backyard, slowly covering the landscaping fabric. The picture below show...

http://theolivegreenwindow.blogspot.com/2015/07/clearing-way-for-excavator.html
Jul 19, 2015. Clearing the way for an excavator. Today we woke up full of energy. After morning coffee, it was decided that the first thing to do was to buy a chainsaw to be efficient. An hour later Pekka returned with his Makita. And what did we do? The goal was to empty and clean the terrace area, including removal of about 130 concrete blocks each weighing 29 kg. The excavator would arrive on Monday morning at 8.00 am. To make a long story short, we made it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Up unti...

Olive Green: March 2015
http://theolivegreenwindow.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Mar 31, 2015. Déjà vu - painting. So a little while back we decided to start reorganizing one of the rooms upstairs for the baby. Up until now, it has only been in occasional use, mostly for storing and office purposes. Honestly, not much though has been invested in this room. Can you sense my reluctancy to pose? As an exchange to another drawer. We actually quite like the new location of the String shelf - not quite sure if it will be the final destination, but seems to be working quite well for now.

Olive Green: February 2015
http://theolivegreenwindow.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Feb 22, 2015. We really like the Tulip table by Eero Saarinen. In the dining room. It is visually light, yet it is extremely spacious proven to host 10 adult dinner guests. But thus it is also a perfect junkyard for clutter with a varying degree of importance: keys, phones, toys, mail - you name it. Not only a beautiful table is regularly turned into a chaos, but in the worst case, the important stuff gets lost, forever. So, very simply - we took one of the Konto. Of course, this leaves a certain owl.
