Http:/ www.witness.co.za/index.php? ISIMANGALISO Wetland Park officials yesterday demolished three resorts declared illegal by the high court in Durban late last year. The three resorts were built in the Coastal Forest Reserve in Kosi Bay, which is part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000.

Theo is at Cape Vidal tonight after camping wild-with permission from Isimangaliso-on a sand dune 12 jogging hours south of Sodwana last night.He is quite excited about a whale and bush pig carcass that was washed ashore while he was kept company by fish eagles feeding on crabs.No human contact though-I would think that’s for the better-you never know-but he craves company! Hiking Trails in Kosi Bay. February 15, 2010. 8212; Tamboer @ 3:07 pm. While we wait for a suitable camp to operate in Bhanga nek all the hikes in the interim will go like this or in the reverse. First night – Maputaland Bush Camp. In the morning hike to Dog point and along the beach to Black Rock beach. Lunch at Black Rock and afternoon snorkel. Short hike back to camp. 2nd night – Maputaland Bush Camp. 3rd night Kosi Bay Lodge. Hike through forrest and along the lakes and fish kraals to last camp.
