ホムダワケノミコト、応神天皇 、足仲彦尊 タラシナカツヒコノミコト、仲哀天皇 、息長帶姫命 オキナガタラシヒメノミコト、神功皇后 、玉依姫命 タマヨリヒメノミコト、神武天皇の母神 、そして仲姫命 ナカツヒメノミコト、応神天皇の后 です。 江戸時代中期、安永年間 1772 81年 に本殿が改築されました。 明治に入り、政府が神社の格についての制度を定め、鴻八幡宮は昭和１９年、県社 鴻八幡神社 と改められましたが、昭和２９年には 鴻八幡宮 に戻ります。 鴻八幡宮の社名の由来については、備前藩古文書の 吉備温故秘録 備陽記 に不思議な伝承が記されています。 この伝説から、当鴻八幡宮の氏子区域、即ち 上村 下村 田の口村 引網村 現在の上の町、下の町、田の口、唐琴 を鴻の郷と言うようになります。 元弘の乱 元弘元年、1331年 の後、幕府に捕らえられた後醍醐天皇は隠岐に、宗良 むねよし 親王は讃岐に流されました。 末尾の署名者に川本平大夫 社家、宮司河本平太夫藤原貞誠 寛文４年に宮司に就任 と田ノ口村庄屋茂右衛門の名前があります。
