It has been an unusual feeling to celebrate Thanksgiving sitting outside, beside the swimming pool of another missionary family. No there wasn't any turkey, but we did have chicken and pumpkin pie, and we were with a number of other Canadians. It was great to be able to celebrate a Canadian holiday together, as it is easy to become immersed in the day to day life of Botswana. We are thankful also for the ...

We had a wonderful trip through Red Deer(visiting my aunt) to Salmon Arm (Cheryl's Aunt), Kaledan (Cheryl's nephew), and Fruitvale BC (Cheryl's sister and her children's families). Brian Doerksen is leading worship into a sweet place. The speaker has also been very good. He is speaking on the missional heart of God.going where God wants you to be. Thursday, September 27, 2012. A Pic a Day - Day 17. This is a picture of one of Brendan's things on the bulletin board outside of his class. I took this because I decided to surprise him (and get good exercise for me and the kids) by picking him up from school. Since he takes the bus I don't get to see his class or teacher at all and that feels really weird. I just want to show my face around there periodically. So Brendan was lining up to go out to the bus and I said "surprise! I felt so loved!

I had done this before, about a year and a half ago. The actual presentation went well. The. response was good. I'm still not used to talking at people for that long. I don't have them very often because its not worth it to drag the kids out of the van to get one and the drive thru Starbucks is not close to my home. So I have found an excellent, cheaper replacement. At Timmies I order a Mocha made with White Hot Chicolate and add a shot of caramel flavoring. It's not exact but close enough AND it doesn't taste like you are drinking perfume as you take your last few sips.

This has been our favourite summer tv show for a couple of years now and this season was fantastic! That is until they announced the winners.
