Koyna Adventure - Day 4. Sunday, February 05, 2006. Braving the early morning chill at Mahabaleshwar, at about 6 am, we set off to Wilson Point to see the sunrise. On return, we had breakfast, packed our bags and started for Pratapghad. We managed to get an ST bus till Wada and then hired a jeep to go to Pratapghad, return to Wada and then proceed to Mahad. Waiting for the sun to 'get up'. Shots at Wilson Point. Return from Wilson Point. Tired Sleeping at any cost. Mountains and forests around Pratapghad.

Wednesday, February 01, 2006. We travelled from Mumbai. From Karad, an ST bus. Bound to Chiplun, took us to Koyna Naga. R The trek started from Koyna Nagar. Sattelite images from Google Earth. The white line on the mountains is the indicative trail. Mountains are about 4200-4500 ft high above sea level. Distance covered on boat will be about 70-80 kms. Click on each day to see the photographs. Karad to Koyna Nagar (2hrs, Bus), Koyna Nagar to Navja (8kms, Jeep), Navja to Zadoli (8 hrs trek).
