About the Manteno Oktoberfest. The Manteno Oktoberfest was the vision of a handful of volunteers over 15 years ago and originally spanned one block with food and entertainment. This event has grown from a small, one day event to an expansive four day festival that stretches over five blocks of Main Street, Manteno! The fest is run primarily by the hard work and dedication of a corps of volunteers and is now sponsored by the Manteno Chamber of Commerce.

Why does the Manteno Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest Committee is comprised of local residents that come together to pull off a four day festival. The fest is a full time job for its' Director but without the help of a solid corps of volunteers, the events would be unmanned, the pet parade would have pigs, llamas and dogs running amuck and a food tent without any tables. There is a role for everyone thoughout the fest. We will put you to work at an age and skill appropriate task. Whatever you have to give!
