Use a heavy saucepan if possible, if not then keep a close eye on it and take away from heat sooner than later - there's no salvaging the sauce if the sugar syrup burns. 1/2 cup cold water. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 1 cup pure (heavy) cream. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Return to very low heat and stir for 2 minutes until smooth. Cool before refrigerating - lasts 1 month in the fridge. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
