Wednesday, September 26, 2012. A Typical Week In K. From Space Shuttles in the sky and Cindy Lauper dance parties to learning about conflict resolution and the fall, it is hard to believe it has only been a week since my last post! These girls have been busy! We have just finished up with our introduction to, and exploration of, our classroom. The girls have worked together to create our Classroom Responsibilities (our version of classroom rules) and are currently using a method called Sharing the Pen.

Thursday, April 25, 2013. Thank you to everyone who brought in containers for the girls to work with this week. They were definitely put to use! Wednesday, November 28, 2012. It has been a busy few days back! During Science/Math (our Integrated Learning Time) the girls have been working hard to figure out how to determine if a pumpkin is “Big.” The girls worked in groups that focused on measuring the circumference, height, weight and width (which eventually became circumference) of each pumpkin. Thursday, December 13, 2012. The Field Trip Was a SUCCESS! Preparing for our field trip. The girls came up with a list of seasonal vegetables they wanted to put into their Harvest soup. Their ingredients included chard, potatoes, corn, carrots, beets and more. They then cut out images of their crops and sorted them based on what part of the plant their crop came from.
