Wednesday, August 27, 2014. The rest of the trip. Day 10 - July 17:. Today was all in Yachats. In the morning we wandered around the tidal pools. The beach close to us was mostly rocks so we drove a little bit south and walked along a sandy beach. I didn't take any pictures of the sandy beach. :) Next we drove to Devil's Churn. It is a place where the waves come into an increasingly smaller space and crash violently. I'm sorry that these pictures just don't capture the amazing-ness! Day 11 - July 18:.

Sunday, April 28, 2013. You won't believe this - I can't believe it! President Uchtdorf attended our District Conference two Saturdays ago. He and his family then had some vacation time here in the Holy Land. Kent and I had the privilige of escorting them for 8 days. It was an unbelievable experience - one we'll never forget. :) :) :) :). Sunday, April 14, 2013. I didn't actually go to Turkey this semester, but I have previous semester pics to share. On Day 5 we go to Ephesus:. Various Gods, etc. etc.

Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Bucket list trip continued. Day 3 - July 10:. We stayed in Winthrop last night so that we could visit North Cascades National Park today. I was rather disappointed. We drove so many miles and it wasn't worth it. 95% of the park is wilderness area and can only be accessed by those backpacking in. We saw some lovely scenery as we drove around the outer edge of the park. There are lots of glaciers but no access. Most of the "lakes" are actually dams and reservoirs. Day 4 - July 11:.

Tuesday, April 15, 2014. 2 playdates - but not at the same time :). I finally had my play date with Max. He actually wanted to go to Disneyland and cried when I said "that ain't happen'n". I didn't realize he wasn't aware of what Disneyland IS. Mean Grandma! Anyway, Mom smoothed things over for me and we went bowling instead. He was most excited about the cool shoes he got to wear. So, we began by having him push the ball from the floor. Here he is encouraging the ball:. Very intent on what he is doing!

Friday, September 27, 2013. 7 out of 9 grandchildren agree: The Zoo is Fun! We went to the zoo with all but 2 of our grandchildren. We missed you, Jackson and Zoe! The weather was perfect, the animals were in fine spirits and the company was exceptional. Here are some of the animals we saw:. Most of us went into see the apes and missed the elephant show - he stood on his head! Those who were lucky enough to see it, took some great pictures. I wasn't one of them - :(.
