It seems like yesterday. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Organizing at 1:00 am? There I was, starting to organize my crafting supplies at 1:00 this morning. I found some buttons here, a letter there, some cute paper here and started putting it all together . . . and before I knew it . . . I had made this . . . Monday, August 13, 2012. Kayla's birthday celebration started off on Sunday as we had a family birthday party with Grandma Sharon and Papa Gene. We ate chocolate chip pancakes, buttermilk pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream, maple syprup, strawberry syrup and lots of bacon! And, of course, birthday cake! Sunday, December 25, 2011. My favorite moment of the entire year! I wasn't sick. I wasn't uncomfortably pregnant. I wasn't at the hospital. I was at home with my family feeling great and extremely blessed! Sporting new hats Santa brought. Emily was so excited about her very own Piggy Bank but was so disappointed there was no money in it! Tuesday, June 14, 2011. The "Joy" of Gardening? I did not inherit my mom's green thumb, but gardening has become enjoyable, rewarding and something I can do with my kids. My husband's creativity and hard work has made our garden a relaxing place with a fish pond, a fountain, and a beautiful arbor. Friday, January 22, 2010. A photo diary (kid style). I recently downloaded pics from an old camera and this is some of what I found. Monday, January 18, 2010. It wasn't easy, but worth it. At this time 20 years ago. Two teenagers, who had to have their parents permission to be married, agreed to take a journey. It wasn't easy. Monday, September 27, 2010. Luke really enjoyed fetching sticks again, although the water was quite cold and if we threw the stick too far he whimpered until the stick came to the shore. Luke was very exhausted. I think he forgot he's not a puppy anymore. He took every opportunity to rest in a cool spot. William really wanted to swim across the lake despite his fear of crawdads. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. End of 1st grade. Kayla and Mrs. Garrison. What a fantastic year! I am absolutely amazed at what kids are capable of learning at an early age. Kayla has excelled in everthing at school - Math, Spelling, Grammar, Social Studies and Science. Her handwriting needs a little improvement but she is doing a lot better with it.
