And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! Basically, I loved Israel! I had such an amazing time there both on my own and with friends who were so unbelievably kind to me. Apart from how nice people were, I think one of the things that struck me most was that I was in the first world again! Unfortunately, first world “luxuries” come with first world prices and Israel was really quite expensive! Snorkeling the Red Sea and seeing my first octopus! The thin...

Traveling Solo: Final Update
http://travelbykim.blogspot.com/2012/09/final-update.html
And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! I've spent the last two days poring over my travel notebooks so that I can finally answer the big questions that everyone likes to ask. For instance, people always ask if I have a favorite place but in truth, I can't pinpoint any place that deserves the title of "my favorite place in the whole world." Can you? Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. Whitsunday Islands, Australia. With Family (Indonesia, Netherlands). Definitel...

And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! I had three days in this wonderful city and I certainly made the most of them! A friend said it was like London meets San Francisco – it is! It’s bustling and charming with tons of things to do and a lot to see that’s easy to access. Though I probably never will, I could definitely see myself living here if I had the Australian salary to afford it :). Intermission at the Sydney Opera House. Still a bit beached o...

And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! A Crazy Day In Petra. The pictures describe it better than I can, but Petra is cool! It is this massive city with incredible rock-hewn structures and I wish I had had more than a day to spend there. Petra is a must-see if you’re ever in Jordan, even though they have raised the price to 50 Euro for single-day admission! I received a key for another room though and it turned out to be a single! I bought bananas an...

And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! I have reached a new personal “best”: An entire week without a shower! I’d never been so dirty in my life! My pictures just don’t do it justice the way his do. When you are that dirty, you just didn’t have a chance at getting clean with the usual baby-wipe shower. Normally, I use two. Even if I used a dozen I would still find dirt circles on my arms the next morning. Ew. View of the Rift Valley. Sometimes it can...

And spending everything i've saved for the last two and a half years on all seven continents! Japan, What's Not To Love? Everyone-especially the man with samples-was super nice! On account of matching flight dates with UW’s spring break, Japan, unfortunately, was a 48-hour whirlwind. On the upside, it was a fantastic two days eating amazing food and spending time with my aunt. :). 8221; But when I said “base-uh-ball-ooh,” breaking up the word baseball. These were much more fun this time around! I had hea...
