Confessions from a Foodaholic. So it's been a few days since I've blogged. I broke my fast last Wednesday night so I could do the taste test Thursday night. I did, it was yum, I got sick. 'Nuff said about that! Friday I made good choices. My husband even took me to my favorite restaurant, Olive Garden, and I only ate half my meal and boxed the rest for later. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. I can not believe we are in September already. Schools have started. Lissa starts home schooling this week. Got the cuttest picture of Liberty off FB this morning.so sweet. Today my home care nurse comes to flush my port. I am also doing a little laundry and cutting coupons that I have printed. Had a great Labor Day morning visiting with my folks, Justin, Brittany and Conner there son. I came home and slept for 4 hours after breakfast. I was just plain beat. Special day for us.

Monday, August 16, 2010. Well, we woke up with a bang, and headed out Thursday the 12Th taking is easy. It's really not very far to drive. We arrived at Hutchinson Island got all checked in. The latest thing to come across my radar is kombucha (kawm-boo-chah) which is a fermented tea. Now, before rumors start about how I've turned into a day drinking lush, let me clarify that ferment doesn't automatically mean alcoholic. While kombucha can contain trace amounts of alcohol, it's typically less than 1%. Compare that to pure vanilla extract. That has at least 35% alcohol or beer. That is usually 4% - 6% alcohol by volume. So if it's not alcoholic, what exactly is it? You feed the SCOBY freshly ...

Wednesday, May 30, 2012. A Breath of Fresh Air #homeschooling. My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the annal FPEA. Alas, we do have to finish up this year, mail off report cards and attendance records and put together portfolios. Then there's that pesky summer break my kids are sure to beg for. This week I'm going over work, filing papers, and making end of the year goals. Next week, while relaxing on vacation, I'll be able to start setting up the new planning software. Jacob's Writing/Grammar assignment for today. Dislike : I don't like school because it is boring when I have to wait for Mommy. I don't like science because my microscope doesn't even work! Friday, November 12, 2010. I can already tell my Fibro hates this time of year more than any other. Actually you deal year round, but nothing like when winter weather changes come.
