There is a word in Indonesian that I hate more than any other a word that is flung at me from gutters, a word that is slipped insidiously into conversations, a word that builds barriers between me and acquaintances both new and old. June 14, 2015. A few more lessons learned. Quick-cook oatmeal is a delicious breakfast, and pairs well with peanut butter and banana slices. Oatmeal has the consistency of boogers, and not even peanut butter can improve it. Culture shock is a terrible name. I was listening to a podcast (Freakonomics? A few more of my favorite things.
