Capital Cuisine: October 2010
http://thecapitalcuisine.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 19, 2010. I was blessed this last weekend to be gifted with another visit to Volt. Apparently my excellent boyfriend had to make reservations for this outing a month in advance which is a pretty big deal for a place out in the middle of Frederick Maryland (the suburbs of the suburbs). The decor was very modern, very plain. They had changed the cool pictures of ships since the last time I went there to some boring dull ones. You should ALWAYS caramelize your sausage to bring out the flavo...

Capital Cuisine: Where to Eat Breakfast or Brunch in Providence Rhode Island
http://thecapitalcuisine.blogspot.com/2012/08/where-to-eat-breakfast-or-brunch-in.html
Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Where to Eat Breakfast or Brunch in Providence Rhode Island. So I was fortunate enough to attend a conference this month in Providence Rhode Island. Okay, so Providence really doesn't have many exciting things going for it but there were some cool places to eat. Plus, Rhode Island has Johnson and Whales (with a culinary museum), a Botanical gardens, and Brown. 1) Brickway on wickenden. Get it. General consensus was that the best dish at Brickway was their eye popping blue be...

Monday, September 19, 2011. Best Place to Eat In Salisbury MD. So when you see the title of this post you are probably thinking ooo Salisbury must have a nice fancy restaurant that is really expensive but good that Jenn thinks everyone should go to because it is the best place to eat in Salisbury-well you would be wrong. I actually think the best restaurant in Salisbury is a pizza place called Specific Gravity Pizza. Address 105 E. College Ave. Salisbury, MD 21804. Phone (443) 859 - 8412. There are quite...

Capital Cuisine: November 2011

Tuesday, November 15, 2011. OC Kabob in Salisbury : A hidden gem. I absolutely love Greek food. I even worked as a waitress at a Greek restaurant ( Vasilis Mediterranean Grill. In Gaithersburg) which served excellent Greek fare. I have been to Greece and eaten some fabulous gyro's, moussaka, pastichio, and more in my time so I like to think I have a good idea of what good Greek food is. A very interesting twist to the night was the appearance of a belly dancer who belly danced her way around the tables t...

Capital Cuisine: Tapas in Bethesda and Kareoke in Rockville
http://thecapitalcuisine.blogspot.com/2012/02/tapas-in-bethesda-and-kareoke-in.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. Tapas in Bethesda and Kareoke in Rockville. Spanish tapas is the equivalent of the Chinese Dim Sum or Greek mezze. I am a huge fan of tapas. What is not to love about this small plates concept-you get an assortment of tastes and you don't have to feel guilty about wasting a ton of food (though I do appreciate left overs). Needless to say I was excited when my friend Theresa announced her birthday dinner was going to be at Jaleo. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an ...

Thursday, August 18, 2011. So I did recently take a trip to Hawaii for my conference as well as for a mini vacation with my family (if you could call any time a spend with them a vacation) and I found the food scene quite unique on these island getaways. Aloha Mixed plate lunch with pork wrapped in taro and te leaves. Acai bown from Shark Cove on the North Shore of Oahu. You have to have fish when you go to Hawaii-you are on an Island for heavens sake! Justin enjoying a large shaved ice. The cajun wings ...

Friday, February 24, 2012. Lemoncello Restaurant Review Rockville MD. Recently I was treated to dinner by my parents in Rockville at a restaurant that is literally right across from the Kareoke place that I mentioned in my last post. Lemoncello is touted as one of the higher class restaurants in Montgomery county so I was interested in seeing what it was like (plus my mom had a coupon from their website which is of course why she wanted to go there). Links to this post. Links to this post. 1 cup of milk.

Saturday, September 29, 2012. The Pig Restaurant in DC. To celebrate a friends birthday I recently went to The Pig. In DC We decided to go to this place because it is unique in how the whole menu is centered around one animal: the pig. I know I know. I am a bad Jew but pig can be delicious. We got really daring for dessert and ordered the sundae bloody sunday. Why 'bloody' do you ask? I really enjoyed dining at The Pig. The company was great and tasting all the different dishes was really enjoyable&#...
