Ironman age grouper with a tendency to dream. Saturday, August 1, 2015. There's an opportunity at my company to speak in front of an audience about an inspiring or uplifting story, something that connects with people, sort of like a Ted Talk. Those selected will be coached by a professional storyteller to tell their story in front of 150 people. They've done these talks in 2 of our sites already, and after I watched a video of one of the stories. I knew I wanted to do it. I didn't feel worthy. Why me?

Monday, July 15, 2013. This weekend was a big one and I loved it! Day 1 - Saturday. Everyone was super antsy and ready to cut the cake, but cake is dessert. We had to eat dinner first. I made them all suffer a little longer. All day, Patrick had been threatening that he was going to stick his finger in the cake to find out the icing color. I knew he'd be good and wouldn't peek. Friday, October 24, 2014. Prep for San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon. Right now, I've got a bum knee (I think IT band issues). I'm going to see Dr. Martindale tonight, hopefully getting the go ahead to keep training. I couldn't run even 2 miles on Monday. After foam rolling, I was able to make it 5.7 miles. YAY! Monday, November 18, 2013. Today is Liam's due date and we are still. Waiting for him to make his debut. He is apparently very comfortable inside my belly. If he doesn't show up on his own, I'll get some help on Friday. I'd really prefer not to get the help, but I will if I need to. We'll see. As hard as this has been and become, I have been VERY. Lucky I haven't had any real problems or anything. Minor annoyances really. I wouldn't trade this time for anything. There are so many people ready to meet you!

Friday, September 27, 2013. Well, I've made it to week 33 (of 40). Everything is progressing very nicely! I've been so very lucky in this pregnancy - I haven't had very many problems and the doc said my latest blood work was great! I'm hoping all the good news and experiences continue for the next 7 or so weeks. I'm still missing those bikes and runs with the girls, but mostly I've been ok sleeping in on Saturdays and Sundays. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Only :28 seconds away from going under 2 hrs when I totally had it in me to push a little harder than I had! The rain we had the day before the race caused one section to be a mud bath! My big lesson here was to never give up in a race! This year was even more fun with Kris and Linda racing! It always seems like there's a threat of bad weather this weekend and this year was no exception. But instead of getting lucky like we normally do we had to deal with scattered rain showers pretty much throughout the whole race. Also, this was the first year it was NOT wetsuit legal! So You Had A Bad Day.
